very interesting choice to release the first half second. Watching them "in order" really does show a coherent order to the chaos.

Notice how Michael calls Slendy "it" while Shaun calls Slendy "Him". I think that suggests that Michael really doesn't know what he's up against, especially since he wants to fight.

Is Michael the good guy here?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Also, I like the homage to Unnatural Events they have with Bartholomew's Axe against the wall.

This is one of the vids where the acting seems a bit forced. Not terrible, but not oscar worthy either.

So shauns back, and slendy is on a rage. Twisted Evil

Still dig it though.

And what happened? did michael pass out at the wheel or did they wreck?
DAT SCREAMIN

It seemed like he passed out in the driveway, if it were otherwise I'm sure his reaction upon waking would've been different.

That screaming has haunted me all day. I tried watching the video again to get a better understanding of what was going on, and I can't watch it at full volume.

The disconnect between these characters is really interesting and weird. Shaun cares enough about Michael to tell him that they all love him and don't want him to hang himself, enough to go back with him just for that reason (but not enough to hug him, c'mon, someone needs to hug Michael since I can't). But he doesn't care enough to be a roadblock between him and Slendy or even agree with Michael that they should fight. What does Shaun think Slenders wants with Michael? Does he think Slender Man DOESN'T want to kill Michael? I mean, not that we really know what SM wants either, in any of these series, but Shaun seems to be afraid for his own life, but not for his brother's. Unless he's talking about suicide. And then he does.

Agh, I am rambling on and on with no purpose or reason, but I find these two really frustrating. This constant dance between being allies and not being allies and what do they care about each other or not, huh? ...The ambiguity is equal parts intriguing and annoying.

Will Shaun leave now that "something, anything" happened?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Agreed that the acting was not quite as convincing in this one. Reminded me of a (well-done, granted) college-level play. It's tough to pull off a scene where two characters stand off and just talk for five whole minutes, though, and they handled it well. These guys also have a nice rapport going. I can really believe that they're estranged brothers.

Noted once more that Michael is very, very good at manipulation. He uses those big eyes to full effect on everyone around him, and won't quit trying until he gets what he wants. I wonder if he learned that skill in the hospital, scamming nurses out of extra popsicles and pudding cups. I'm also interested in his development here, apparently having gone from OH GOD OH GOD JUST PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE to We'll fight, we'll win, but I can't do it on my own. Then again, maybe the apparent optimism was just part of the ploy to get Shaun back with him.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
this series puts a giant emphasis on the acting, which i love because it's awesome.

anyone else's eyes keep going back to the ax in the background?

glad he brought up the rope.

and do you think part 2 counts as "something happening"?

When I heard him comment on the rope I felt myself visibly wince and go, "Oh, honey...".
That aside, I agree the acting wasn't exactly top notch in this video, Micheal's hand movements were a bit to repetitive, a constant consistent shrug. The disappointment in their acting came from a lack of body language, I think. They were telling their lines well verbally, but physically it just didn't seem natural. Usually, at least from what I've noticed, Micheal moves a lot when he talks. He'll shift position or use his hands, push his hand through his hair, message a temple or something like that. Not just a shrug every few words.

I agree also that their weird will they/won't they (just nut up and take a nice brother-brother swing at Slendy) relationship is one part interesting and one part annoying as hell. As a veiwer who has watched a lot of television, I want a smooth plot and characters to all be pretty much on the same page. But at the same time Shaun's iffy "I wanna help, but I also don't wanna DIE." mentality makes him a more believable character. And I love believable characters.

I wish I could figure out what Shaun is screaming in part 2 sounds like "Michael it's Garrrr it's Garrr" obviously that's not it. They are definitely driving when Michael passes out you can see the street lights moving just before it happens then there is another thing screamed that is inaudible but I think it's Dave.

Just listened to the bit with Dave over and over I think he says "Michael watch out." Do you think Slendy was in the street? Maybe Dave will become another character as he has now been present with Slender Man.

No, it was obviously 'Michael it's Gurrr it's Gurrr!', because Shaun is a diehard Invader Zim fan.

Just from an absolutely picky perspective, the distortion at the end bothered me. I don't mind them not making it apparent that Slendy is around considering the events of the second half. I thought it would have been cool to jump from "Okay. I'll come with you." to "OH GOOOOOOD MICHAELLLLLL" without indicating how that happened.

That being said(and I'm normally not so picky... well I normally keep it to myself), I'm interested to see what's going to happen between the three of them after these videos.

Who's in the car with them? I assumed it was Eric... or was it Dave?

I think it was Dave in the car with them.

Interesting choice to show those two videos out of order, but I actually think it works quite well. Homecoming.2 is even more frightening when it's out of context. And the conversation in the first part is creepier when you know that Shaun is going to have cause to regret his decision almost immediately.
