[DEAD BLOG] DIRGEOFTHEEARTH Has anyone posted this one yet?
Strolling 'round the internets, I found a pretty cool blog. Sorta similar to Observe and Terminate, except this one actually has video. It's not bad.

Five men, some Canadian, some American, one Russian, have been assigned to a team under an organization called Blackwater. Lead by Cpt. Grof, the team is assigned a mission to destroy our tall, dark, faceless friend.

I'm pretty sure it's a rank in the Canadian army. Not sure exactly of the position. I think it's, like, after Corporal but before Sergeant.

Eh, can't get into this one. I could just about forgive the unconvincing videos (the guys look more like weekend warriors than special forces), but the writing on the posts is really sloppy. (It's REDACTED in that context, silly, not retracted.)

awakeasaurusrex, from what I understand is that the writing is, suppose to be sloppy. and i'm guessing getting a large amount of military gear is expensive.

3 Canadians, an American and a Russian? All you need is a bar and you have a whole world of tasteless jokes open to you...

Why does your name make me think that three of the cats are Canadian, one is Russian, and the last is American?
Anyway, yes, large amounts of military gear is expensive. But if you want to make a convincing video series, you need to be able to fork over the cash. That's like saying that just because special effects equipment to allow for amazing distortion is expensive, we should be content with people throwing confetti at the screen instead.

Nah, I'm not involved in the series. I know the guys but I'm not involved my self.

To be honest, I like this series, much for the same reason I liked Observe and Terminate. It's taking the Mythos in a new direction. The scenes are refreshing, and it's done in a far less...camera-centric way: it's more like the camera's just there, not that the scene's being constructed. I also rather like the banter. There also appears to be a larger budget for this series than most; the sheer amount of gear is making me look forward to things to come. The writing is sloppy, but that's an in-game choice: our character is a dude who barely got through school, and left at 16 to join the armed forces.

I will not start watching this on the basis that it wil conflict against the version of the mythos I know and love (the only government interferance is Agent Fisk and his lot, "Handling" slendy)
Meh, I suppose this is an acquired taste

These dudes are Blackwater mercenaries, anyway. Private military contractors, not a government agency. Thus the, let's say 'lax' standards of dress and conduct.

Sorry, gonna give this one a miss. Spelling and pacing problems are too much for the feeling of immersion.
