 		I'd be disappointed if TTA was Tim, I mean it wouldn't even make any sense. The guy is pathetic, the first time we see him, he falls down on the floor and has a seizure, next time he just sits in J's room, I presume sniffing his underwear. In the hotel he crawls out of somewhere and a scrawny guy like J was able to beat him with one hand already occupied, oh sure his leg was hurt, but that doesn't change the fact that he didn't think any of it through, honestly TTA seems more of a calculative type of guy wich Tim isn't. He sneaked up on J like a damn Scooby-Doo villain. Anything that Tim has ever done, is lame. Name one thing that he has done on screen that isn't pathetic in anyway. Hell, even Alex treated him like he was no one special.

TTA's video titles usually have two possible meanings, either as a verb or a noun; Return, Advocate, Warning, etc. (Sidetone is a notable exception)

You make an excellent point here that makes a lot of sense, but I wanted to quickly point out that in a way the Sidetone title does have two meanings. There is of course the telephone technical term of sidetone, but the letters do also easily rearrange to sidenote, which makes sense when looking at the Sidetone video as TTA saying "Oh by they way...that Alex guy? Yeah...he's not exactly the most truthful person..."

I assume this is referring to me, since I just brought up the "flesh and blood human" bit? If so, nah, I don't mind. I figured it was SOMEONE anyway, my line of reasoning was more directed at TTA's intentions towards Jay than any dislike of the reveal on my part in a meta way. TTA was a more abstract entity before, and it really kept Jay in the dark about what was happening, my bringing up his "loss of mystique" and whatnot was an in-universe note that now Jay can be reasonably sure TTA is human if the filmer was indeed TTA, and why TTA felt it was necessary to confirm this fact to Jay.

If I misinterpreted your post... nothing to see here.


There is nothing significant about the fact that TTA showed that it was him recording. Do you think Jay would've suspected TTA as "omg its gota be slendperator"? No, Jay clearly stated multiple times that he believed (albiet assumed) TTA was human.

All this does is show that TTA is going "Hey buddy. I've always known where you've been, and I still do."

Sidetone Sidenote, that brings up an interesting point, that Alex may have been referring to TTA in #36, and not himself. Or, if he is TTA, he still was referring to himself. Either way, Alex was probably talking about TTA in #36.

The scene where Tim just up and runs at J in that dark hallway is scary as shit. His entering J's room when the doors and windows are all locked is impressive as well, and the reason all he did was put on a show for the camera was to mess with J's head and freak him out. In the hotel he was hit with a hard-ended flashlight. Those hurt no matter who's jaw they're connecting to, and the fact that he rushed in there and was so clumsy probably has some significance to the story, like for whatever reason he wanted to keep J from watching those tapes at all cost. He was also calculating enough to lead J on that chase through the warp doors in the house. Furthermore, it is worth noting that while Tim was having his seizure, he was still able to shove J away from himself (which J described as surprising), not to mention the fact that it took both Alex and J to restrain him and even then they had a tough time of it. There's really nothing pathetic about what we've seen him do so far, he's been kind of a badass.

I thought we had established that his ability to teleport also gives him a high tolerance for pain. Or maybe that only works for leg pain.

He does seem to have a high tolerance for pain and suffering, but that doesn't mean he can't be knocked down if he's hit hard enough. Didn't take him long to get back on his feet and continue chasing J, either.

In the hotel he was hit with a hard-ended flashlight. Those hurt no matter who's jaw they're connecting to, and the fact that he rushed in there and was so clumsy probably has some significance to the story, like for whatever reason he wanted to keep J from watching those tapes at all cost.  		When did Masky show any high tolerance for pain and suffering? The only unusual thing about him I've seen is that doors start to act weird when he's around. Other than that, his only plan is apparently to run towards people and hope for the best. Hasn't really worked that well so far.

I'm inclined to see Tim/Masky/Epic Fail Guy as more of a tragic character, a victim (of the Operator? or of TTA?) rather than an antagonist. We don't know what made him put on the mask, but it certainly hasn't done him any good.

Well the first time he and J met was a decent example. He started seizing but was still able to fight off J to keep him from removing the mask. In addition, the fact that he kept chasing J in entry 33 for so long even though his leg was clearly messed up, and of course, the fact that he had the crap knocked out of him with a maglight and got back up a few seconds later. Maybe it's less a tolerance for pain and moreso that he has little regard for his own well being. I agree that he's kind of a tragic figure/victim though. I hope they eventually explain what happened to make him like that.
