So it looks like it was automatically deleted (that is, wasn't even put up for debate) because no one bothered to give any reasoning why it was notable.
The notability criterion for Wikipedia is very important because it preserves the reliability of Wikipedia. If they allowed any thing to have an article, Wikipedia would be full of articles about persons, inside jokes, single episodes of television shows, obscure websites...etc. The point is that Wikipedia would become overwhelmingly full of articles of insignificant shit which no one cares enough about to actually contribute to. People will start to look at Wikipedia as a bunch of meaningless shit that no one cares to contribute to, and the experts will abandon it, etc...
The General Notability Guideline is this:
"If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article or stand-alone list."
Has Slender Man received any coverage in reliable, independent sources? That is, has their been a news report on Slender Man? I searched for Slender Man on Google News but found only a handful of results, none of which about Slender Man. Absolutely none for Marble Hornets. Whereas most of these did. Maybe they didn't get a spot on CNN (although a lot did) but some kind of independent source reported on most of them. In order to get the Slender Man article up, you need to find this source. This is your goal.
I wrote a defense for the article.
EDIT: someone with a wikipedia account try adding Slenderman to this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Internet_phenomena#Games
This will help with it being included in Wikipedia

Anyone know how to add infoboxes?

I don't think they'd like it if you add too much stuff. A brief description of what he's about, where he came from, and the ARGs. Marble Hornets should have a section all to itself.
What we need right now are sources. You actually have to be able to source everything you write. I think we can use the primary sources to talk about what Slenderman basically is (the original copypasta) maybe.

Why does the bastion of Web 2.0 media require "dead tree media" sources to back up their entries anyway?

Just "Slender Man" is fine. Slender Man, The Slender Man, Slenderman; all forms are acceptable.
