Analysis of images within "Pilot Eyes" game

Their seems to be too much emphasis by people on getting the highest score, rather than achieving an understanding of the true nature of the Rocket Poppeteers website.

The quite excellent Lotto has came up with a very good analysis of the images (respective to their order) within the "Pilot Eyes" game:

Nice one Lotto! Stroopwafel Anyone else has any opinions?

I assume that the "small boy" is the current founder/owner of the Rocket Poppeteers website - Donald Frostsky? And seeing as Donald was brought up in Minot (ND - Nevada?) I believe that the ship must've had the main engine failure there.

On the Rocket Poppeteers Legacy section it is mentioned that the family decided to close the doors of their factory after an "unfortunate incident" in the spring of 1980. So what happened?

Images

Since the game does not have any real order to which it presents the images let's at least analyse them.

Boy in a wagon: We know he is not Josh because of his ethnicity. So is he the child of the RP founders. Could be. But he is also on a sidewalk in a neighborhood that could be a military base. So. who is he?

Street Scene: This could be downtown Lillian years ago. Perhaps a historical area. No real markers in the picture to indicate where this place may be.

Car Engine: Modern car. I've worked on old cars. Too much plastic and miscellaneous to be a 50's or 70's car.

Space/Stars: I do not recognize the constellation. I'm not versed in astronomy so the identification of the stars is above me.

Watch Gears: A nice time piece but no identifying markers. Cannot tell if Swiss made or Japanese.

Houses: Again, suburbia. Nothing identifying. Main street USA.

Boat: Three people dressed in 50-60's clothing. Nothing identifiable in the photo. Again, not relatives of Josh. Perhaps the RP founders on vacation.

If the photos have any significance I'm lost.

Thanks for the Stroopwafel JumboTron! Went down nicely with C[_] this morning. The next training game may help determine if we need to analyze images. Smile

And i was lazy to search for more.

Those are Pleiades (maybe that's where Coop adventures?)

Well, there's about 5 weeks before the film comes out. Also, it looks as if "Pilot Eyes" was the first game out of three to be released on the RP website... so hopefully, game 2 will come out this week or next.

I see relevance in the photos.. maybe not the pictures themselves but the relative nature of the shots..

People on Boat: Argus; late 50's garb..
Constellation; Protons, black holes, time travel etc,,
Main street; rampage, army destruction of small town usa.
Boy in wagon; military base, army brat 1950's
Watch gears; component parts, detailed construction, hobby
Homes; "grouping as a community" Home"
Map; Train traveling, moving toxins through USA etc..
Engine; Train engine, engine1912, etc..
8 photos?

Now it could very well be coincidence.

Although I am the kind of person that goes to the store and sees patterns of 3 dots and for a second..just a second....thinks someone is following my every move Shifty Eyes

But then I just cover my head...and I feel much better:

Oh man! Why do I find that picture so disturbing?! Shocked (I must Ad-block the image, I must ad-block the image...)

I think it's the order of the pictures. Does it change? Cuz I always get them in the same order as Lotto's analysis...

It's kinda funny that the boat pic is named "Creepy_Trio". They look normal enough to me.

On another note. I doubt we will find anything at RP.com that develops the Super 8 story. I think the PMs wanted it to only be fun diversion delivered with 1950s era exuberance.

For the longest time, I thought that RP.com was a secret government test program. All the signs were there.

-the strong ties to the military
-the strange performance enhancing ingredients of the popsicles
-that survey seemed more like a psych evaluation
-and everything was just too nice and fluffy to be true

I probably just watch to much fringe and associated this too much with dharmawantsyou.

I agree with Foid, generic photos. I've looked at the metadata and nothing stands out. Here's the interesting stuff:
Each photo title has an _OG and _EDIT version.
The titles are Car_Engine, Creepy_Trio, Map, Market_Street, StarField, Suburb, Wagon_Kid, and Watch_Guts.
Map has a copyright James C Pruitt.
Wagon_kid Copyright 1957 Richard L. Winegarden and2008 Nancy Nehring.

I wonder why call it Market Street and not Main Street?

I'd say that OG stands for OriGinal (Captain Obvious?)

1st, perhaps the name of the street is "Market Street."

2nd, the more I've played the game, the more I notice that the photos come up randomly.

3rd, there perhaps is a connection between RP and the "incident." Frostsky senior was in the Air Force, and the train car containing the "spookies" was Air Force, so who knows, perhaps Frostsky nabbed one of the cubes and the plant closure had something to do with the cube blasting off through equipment, people, etc.

4th, don't know if it's been mentioned (I've been trying to catch up since a miserable bout with my fibromyalgia), but is there any reason for the poster to be lying on its side?

5th, and yes, Jane, that is a creepy aluminum mummy (or duddy).
