I think it's just character work, honestly, though you can likely relate it to Fairmount Jeffrey's writing, I suppose.

Poor guys. This is why I need to sign up for twitter, though: So I can send motivational messages of hope to monster-terrorized, vaguely fictional constructs of real people with the same names.

As for what I wanted to be, not that it matters here - basically what I am doing now, writing professionally in my field (film). But it took a while and a lot of dumb mistakes and poor choices, so all I would say to Jeff had I a twitter is that no matter how distant it looks, it's never impossible.

BTW, Mattwan, refresh our memory since we were all wondering about this last night - exactly how detailed were you (or was it CoA?) when you emailed EMH about the cycle and our interpretation of its coming catastrophes?

Also, almost everybody wanted to be a superhero, paleontologist, or artist of some kind.

I think we might want to outright discuss the Guardian parallel with Jeff and the possibility that Alex is "his blood" that he could lose. I think if Alex goes, Jeff may be doomed. And yeah, we'd like to avoid Alex dying period.

I'm letting my last laundry list of questions/thoughts per the last video sit for the moment, but if anyone else is keen to bring this point about the Guardian up, feel free.

well, while the everyman prophecies are on the table, seems like a good time to interject a little more of my crazy banter I've been saving up...

Firstly, on Jeff losing "his heart and his blood" ...yeah, seems a pretty obvious translation to Jessa and Alex respectively. And it looks like we're losing Alex fast... I've been reading speculation that we "can't save Alex" and... bullshit. That's pretty much my entire argument there. Bullshit. We're not silent observers here who can't effect the outcome of this.

We're involved. The fate of the boys is the fate of the Hybrids. If the boys fall, we're next. (that's essentially the nature of this "game" isn't it?) And we've had an effect on the game more than once now. Like when we sent the crew to the location in the Ashen Waste video, remember? Which was the Wrong Place. Yet they went there and filmed anyways BEFORE winding up in the right spot (Centrailia vid). We seem to have had plenty of effect in other areas as well just by talking to them, keeping their spirits up, and sending them whatever clues we can dig up. We're having an effect. We can break the cycle. How? Ahh... yeah, I'm still stumped there, but I'm working on it. As I suspect we all are...


Second, The Voyeur... we've pretty much got proof of that don't we? When you think about it? A silent observer? Acting in secret? Guys. Where did the videos of Alex come from that got sent to Evan? Jeff isn't the only person in the group that knows how to work cameras and a computer. And we were later informed that Vince had been over working on some stuff at Jeff's house the day before... hence why we found his phone in Alex's closet. Somebody closer to the guys really needs to bring this up. I get the feeling somebody has a lot more video than what we've seen from a Lot more secret cameras. This needs to be investigated. He could have something important. (...that he might not can SEE...)


Third (and lastly, before I drive you all crazy), one thing I'd like to point out that's bothering me... Not going after Slendy or the Rake, I understand. They're kind of monsters that are extremely dangerous, unpredictable, fast, etc, etc... and they're not really the talkative type to boot. But why, out of all their leads, have the boys not tried to Find HABIT. Jeff can spend all day calling him a Troll if he wants, but he should not be outright ignoring this guy. HABIT, who or whatever he is, knows things about the boys and about what is going on. And he's TALKING. He's sent us several of the clues and leads we have right now. This is the last person in the world they should be ignoring right now. For all his dickish behavior, he's also helped us a lot more than we're giving him credit for.

This last bit is my most speculative point, but I have to include it. I point out the cards from box five, with the markings. The boys, slendy, the doctor... each of them have a set role, a set value, as indicated by the cards. These roles and values that they've been assigned are static, unchanging. But HABIT is The Joker. A Wildcard. HABIT can hold any value, play any role. If we're looking to break this Cycle... then we need a card that can Break the Rules.

I think HABIT wants us to know, and I think he has talked in the past. But he's not talking to us, or at least he hasn't in months. I've tried, many of us have tried to initiate a dialogue since the Everyman notes were discovered; he simply does not bite.

Have we tried approaching the guys, specifically Jeff and Evan, directly about HABIT? Yes. A number of us spoke to them during the Angorapocalypse chat and said flat-out what we had seen of Evan talking to thin air in the kitchen in the hidden videos, and suggested a direct link to HABIT. They pretty much blew it off (likely for OOG plot-oriented reasons), and it understandably made (IG) Evan upset. What's left?

I believe there are things we can affect, as we've affected them in the past; I think the library video happened for a similar reason. But we don't know how much room we have to move and work and we probably won't until this is over. I want to believe we can save Alex but I have no idea how at the moment beyond what we have already done or tried. Right now I feel like we're only able to hurry up and wait, so to speak.

As for who taped that footage of Alex - yes, good question. And who changed the password on their Mediafire account? Among other things? The boys seem to correspond to these archetypes, yet by all appearances since Vinnie is not hiding anything, or at least is not conscious of it. When Mattwan directly encouraged them to be open with each other, they all insisted they were. What have we got left right now? Other than maybe Steph? She's obviously active again for a reason.

Since Steph is active once more, it might be a sign that we need to start pushing on being communicative. Whether or not they choose to respond though...that's always been the problem. They only listen when they ask for our help. Understandable, but frustrating.

REGARDING THE ALEX THING!!

So we all know this is NOT Marble Hornets, where we are watching. And we know the crew is reading this (OH HAI JEFF)... SOOOOOOOO

I personally think that the more we push for a possibility to save Alex, the more likely we are to end up in a scenario where we can in fact save him.

The crew reads this, so they know that we think we might be able to help, and I am sure they are re-writing as we speak, so... yes, I think that we could affect the outcome of EMH.

It's more of a matter of how can we change things. Either it's set in stone & we can't do anything, we're missing a piece of the puzzle or there's something we've overlooked with the info we've gotten. I feel like Alex may not have long if something isn't done soon. Who knows.

I sent Steph a question on Tumblr how everyone is doing after losing Sparky, in particular Alex. We'll see if she responds.
