That's it. I thought it might have to do with why he wandered into the woods instead of waiting at the car, since he focuses on it for a few seconds before hitting the trail. It looked to me like a figure moving on a trail, but between the distance and the camera jiggle, it's impossible to be sure.

If that's true, it'd make more sense for Alex to be TTA. He could be using Jay as bait to get to Slendy. It'd also make sense as to why Timasky would be stalking Jay, he wants to make sure he interferes with Alex's plans. Which of course, would make sense why Alex broke his damn leg.

Well, if something was causing you to black out, have amnesia, and fucking teleport, wouldn't you wanna find out what the hell it was or at the very least where the hell it came from?

I mean, Alex could be a total nerd and try to use Slenderman as a type of time travel, he could be the next Tardis Laughing *is a complete nerd*

One of the dictionary terms for ark is "a place of protection or security; refuge; asylum. "

Or I kinda think of it as he's the "ark" between humanity and the paranormal.

I'm not saying "omg this is certainly it you guys!", it's just one of the theories I found to be interesting when I thought of it

first i think i should have pointed out that A B and C are all different theories. Another is that he sees him as "the ark" in the since that by "going" to him he will meet the "great death". You see it all the time in people that join religious cults.

If Alex did set Jay up and he didn't get mauled as expected, that might explain Alex's pissy demeanor when he had to come out and lead Jay into the woods himself. Never trust a Slenderman to do a film student's job and all.

The far less intriguing but more likely theory that Jay simply saw a signpost and thought he'd look around, in case Alex was already there? Damn your rational logic!

 		Something else i wanna point out.

The phone rang twice when he called before voice mail picked up.

if a phone is off it goes straight to voice mail
if you don't answer it rings at LEAST 4 times


I think that whoever ( not positive after 39...or was it 38) has the phone knows Jay is calling and is letting it ring just enough to give poor Jay hope.
