Also, in a more serious note, who do you guys think took the tape? He left it behind, so this leaves it open to a lot of speculation how he got it back.


Well, he must have gotten that camera back somehow, seeing as he had the chest cam + another (though that other one could be another camera entirely, but still.)

Obviously this doesn't explain exactly how he got it back. For that I think we're just going to have to wait. Though, TimMasky or TTA or Alex definitely could have a role in getting it back.


I just had a thought. These tapes were in a safe that Jay didn't have the combination to until someone conveniently gave it to him in the hotel. Maybe he never got the camera back and either Masky or Jessica had the footage. Also, this means that they got a hold of the other tapes somehow. (Carjack?) I know it doesn't mean much but its a thought

 		Anyone else find it strange that it seems that Jay runs somewhat towards the direction slendy was in?
Where is Slendy at the end of this clip?

I assumed the camera turned when he dropped it, making slendy behind the camera.

 		This is the second time that Jay's dropped that camera (first being the Tim encounter in #35). Perhaps the next entry will contain corrupted footage not unlike Entry #36. Of course, his camera is just sitting there on the ground, so it's not like anything interesting would be on the tape, unless Masky, Alex, or someone picks it up, or something of interest just happens to occur right in front of where Jay left the camera.

However, I definitely think Jay will go back to get his camera. I think that it's the camera in his hand in Entry #29, which was conveniently recorded from Jay's chest cam.

Good point. I didn't realize he's running away from the entrance. Maybe he ran into Alex or passed out and woke up in the hotel. Chances are since there's no camera or memory we'll never truly know

-Timasky, for reasons unknown to me, is trying to stop this. I mean, has he ever really hurt Jay, or just scared/uselessly tackled/chased him away? I'm not sure, but in #35 also, it seems like Alex just wanted to make Timasky shut up, not to interfere (remember he "would have done worse" that break his leg). Also, notice that Timasky just shoves Jay away, going for Alex with the knife??

Let's just say, I really really hope that Jay can somehow find and talk to Tim. I have a feeling that loads will be explained then.

Wow. I think maybe you've cracked the case. So, Alex is luring people to the Operator at this point (perhaps he's already gotten Brian to him), and Tim knows and wants him to stop. Tim wants Jay to stop this pursuit because he knows it will just lead him to the Operator, so he tries to steal the tapes, stabs Alex while sidestepping Jay, invades Jay's room while he sleeps to keep a watchful eye on him (to make sure that nobody comes around)... it's actually very plausible. It just brings me one question:

Why wear a mask? Why not just come out as Tim to Jay, and tell him? I mean, yeah, I guess there's the whole "That's ridiculous, Tim." factor, but...

 		It's 100% definitely Jay running away in the background at the end of the entry.

I think now that Jay doesn't have a camera to film with, he'll go out and get that nifty chest cam. He will then go back to retrieve the camera and tape he left behind. This is when entry 29 will come in to place, where Jay comes into contact with the operator in the tunnel. This would explain why Jay had the hand held camera and the chest cam at the same time. This doesn't explain what the blood in the tunnel is from, but its just an idea that popped into my head.

Well, I wouldn't be sure, but its a valid theory. However, there are some things that irk me:
How does Tim teleport? To me its like hes not quite human, even. Does he possess the 'ark'? Is he somehow bonded to the operator (but with a different will)? The answer to this will likely connect to the mask question, although it is possible that Tim is wearing it to try and keep Alex and Jay off his tail.
Also, even if the theory is true, I don't think the midnight encounters are for safety...I think Tim knows there was a camera there the whole time, and is trying to scare him off the case, knowing he'll see the footage (be this for protection or for his own purposes, depends on the theory). That explains why he tucks Jay in creepily, and sticks his face into the camera to emphasize how he knew Jay was filming himself already.

I believe the point of this is that Alex is the bad guy and Tim is the good guy. The mask is almost definitely not to keep his identity a secret because Tim was revealed to be masky well before the hotel incident. If anything, the mask is for protection or to intentionally scare Jay away from the whole operator thing. I just want to point out that when TTA (most likely Tim or includes Tim) was being informative it seemed to point towards Jay. When he was being threatening, it seemed to be toward Alex. The only exception being forecast.

EDIT: and the one where Jay is apperently sleep walking, of course this could be Tim showing Jay whats happening to him while he's "sleeping"

I'm actually still questioning whether or not that was Tim. You'd think a white mask would stand out. I didn't see Alex take the mask so it's safe to assume he would still have it so why not wear it in this one entry?

 		In the original mythos, slendy draws the victims towards him. Maybe he had this effect on Jay where he was compelled to go closer but managed to break free and escape, explaining his pause.

True, when I first saw it I actually thought it might be Alex... it's very likely that there are more players in this game then those we have considered thus far.
I don't think it's Alex, but I also don't think it's Tim in Entry 39/Forecast.
