Yeah, this is one of the best blogs I've seen, though I'm not _that_ up-to-date with the Slender Man Blogs.

Spoilered for people who didn't read much of this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Up to now, I like the "Slender Man/Stranger is my protector" vibe. Theres much potential in that take on the mythos. On the other hand, I'm afraid it will make Slender Man.. likeable, which would ruin his creepyness for me. Well, I'll have to wait and see where this is leading to. Maybe he isn't really protecting her...

I don't think so, either. The author seems to know what he/she does, and turning the "feeling" of the story from "I'm comfortable with the stranger around" to "he's seriously freaking me out" would be brilliant.

Brb, reading new post.

Very good writing, and I'm very interested in where this is going. The abuse victim is a good angle, where Slendy could be seen as a silent guardian by someone that is so mistreated by regular people. And it hasn't dipped into 'Oh poor me' whiny territory.

Spousal abuse has always been a topic I've been wary about, because i really have no frame of reference. I've been verbally abused so often in my life that that is commonplace to me, but I've always said as soon as someone becomes violent, that is where I draw the line. Maybe simple violence is within the line for some, but that is a big, 'I'm going to rip your guts out now if you lay another finger on me.'

I do find it interesting that she finds being alone comforting and yet is happy (to an extent) to find this strange man in her house watching her. I find being alone terrifying, but being around people I don't know even more so. Huh.

Bit of violence towards Steven by the stranger, and the stranger is around all the time. Huh.

I'm sure you guys already know, but Jane has been commenting on http://takemeinstead.wordpress.com/. "I See the Moon", A blog about a girl whose 4 siblings disappeared without a trace.

This entry is especially interesting, about a dream the author's adopted sister had; http://takemeinstead.wordpress.com/2011/04/27/morgans-story/

I'm actually kind of enjoying this blog, though I think the genre-blindness is a little wearing. She responds to people's comments and even other blogs, but doesn't seem to put it all together too well. Like I said when I started my own topic about this blog, I like the writing and the plot is unique. I'm interested to see where it'll go and how it will develop. I'm particularly interested in the way her 'stranger' talks to her, and the fact that he touches her... I honestly can't think of another blog where Slendy goes about touching people.

Or, at least, not one that's well written.

Also, 'shy lil derp', I have to say it's kind of crude and bad-mannered of you to link to your another blog that's not related to the topic of this thread. We all know advertising is king to getting viewers, but trying to redirect readers from one blog to yours a completely unrelated one by linking to in the original blogs topic thread is just... I don't know... sleazy.

he linked that blog because both blogs have been commenting on each other and it may be relevant in the future in some way. I highly doubt that it is their blog.

While I suppose it's true that both have commented on each other, I don't see a correlation between the two story-lines further than being slenderblogs, and I especially don't see how linking to a specific post that hasn't been commented on by IntrovertedBird helps reveal this deep-seated relevance between the two.

But for the sake of honesty, I can admit that you're right and this 'shy lil derp' isn't the author of I See the Moon. I have spoken with the creator and realize now that I was a little hasty in my accusations.

However, if this person thinks I See the Moon is relevant to IntrovertedBird, why not use, oh I don't know, words to show us the correlation? Instead of just slapping not one link but two leading people to a different blog than the one this thread is about. If they want to show us conversation between IntrovertedBird and I See the Moon, why not link to posts where they've commented to each other? Why not show that there is a possibility of connection?

Or, if they really feel I See the Moon is in need of more viewers, why not start a separate thread all about that blog, as would actually make sense? I'm sorry if I sound like a bitch, but the posting etiquette around here sometimes just astounds and disgusts me.
