I don't know how exactly this will come about, but I'm gonna go ahead and make a prediction:

The series ends with Jay killing Alex.

The voices told me. Don't question them.

Seriously though, I can't really see it ending on a "happy" or "victorious" note, beyond a very immediate version of one (maybe they survive a specific encounter, or survive in general with nothing left to lose) but definitely would want them to resolve the mysteries they've set up.

Someone else mentioned a "marble hornets reunion", and I actually think that having an ending that has something to do with the original student film could be cool, since at this point it seems pretty insignificant beyond the fact that it happened. I'm a fan of having cool tie-ins to early on in the series, even though this series isn't linear in the timeline by any means

That was me Very Happy

I just thought it would be cool, that say during the credits, you see the real filmed pieces of the original film. It would be even more effective if someone has died, and it's more of a memorial to them.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Also, sorry about the thread thing.

Calling the ending now:

Penultimate video is Jay heading off to confront TTA, whose identity and agenda is confirmed by that point, and whose last video eschews weird imagery and codes for a direct and unambiguous invitation to Jay to come and meet up, and a promise that at the meeting everything will be explained.

Final video is uploaded to the Marble Hornets account by TTA. It consists of scenes from the Marble Hornets student film - which, by now, seem far more meaningful than they did at the time - spliced in with scenes from TTA's encounter with Jay. There will be some sort of Operator encounter in which Jay will be killed, the ark will finally be revealed, TTA either succeeds in obtaining the ark and doing... something... with it (banishing Slendy, maybe?), or fails horribly and realises that as a consequence of his failure the Operator will come for him sooner or later. Video ends with TTA either gloating over his total success or glumly awaiting his fate.

The end= repetition. He deletes the videos from youtube, goes home, and burns them.

His YouTube password will have been TTA hack'd by then. He'll have to go a step further. He'll have to burn his internetz.

We have an ENTIRE BOARD. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to confine everything to one fucking thread.

PLEASE stop making posts like this.

Hmm, somebody over on entry 40 thread said Jay hasn't seemed the same since the tweetpocolypse. What if he's already dead? And this is someone else (Jessica maybe?) posting the last few entries he'd been working on... And then teh big reveal, ta-da!, Jay is d-e-d dead, Jessica is waiting for Slenderman to end her suffering, and we're all going to be slendy-stalked for watching these videos.

Re: Marble Hornets, the ending
How would you like for it to end

Soooo, we all know that we are close to the end. So I was wondering"how will it end ?"

Let's discuss about that.

NOW.

How do we know we're close to the end? I honestly don't think we are.

If series 2 is as long as series 1, then we have until Entry #52ish, and I think that will only really resolve the forgotten 7 months and set up the next series.

Any more than 2 seasons would just be dragging it out longer than need be. They're already making so much progress and the creators are eager to start posting their new series once MH is done.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They've already got the first few episodes of the new series ready to be uploaded

Given how things seem to be geared towards making Jay go all these places and do all these things, I have two theories (that are absolutely crazy XD).

1. The whole thing is some strange psychological experiment to find out what it would take to make Jay go insane or something.

2. Alex never stopped making Marble Hornets - he's just setting the whole thing up so he can film Jay secretly.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the original Marble Hornets film was about guys going insane while trying to solve the mystery of a tall faceless man.

I like awakeasaurusrex's version, particularly with TTA finding his "ark" (whatever that is), and attempting to banish The Operator. Obviously, it would fail, leaving the ending on an open note with TTA "on the run" like Alex and Jay were before.

Of course, the amount of exposition required to have this make sense (without falling into the "TTA is now a character on screen out of nowhere" trap) would probably take longer than TPTB want to spend on this, particularly if they keep to the 2-3 minute videos they have been. :/

XD I could have phrased that better. Alex just decided to make a different film. Better?
