This is also the first ARG that I have taken part in. It hasn't changed my
opinion as I have had Halo2 preordered since last year and when the LE
was announced I quickly changed it.

I love co-op (online co-op please) and have finished Halo over 40 times.
If you have "live" and want to die by the hands of a real man, AngriBuddhist
is the name.

Collector's edition pre-ordered long ago, check.
Day off from work arranged (hey it's my birthday besides), check.
Prepped and ready to camp out for the midnight release, check.
Lanfest set-up at my place (120" HDTV screen, 5.1 surround, leather couches, 6' bean bag), check.
Wireless LIVE connection, check.
15 other guys foaming at the bit to play Halo2 at my place, check.

Yep, I'm ready. Cool Rock On

Destroyed leather from 15 guys not moving for 36 hours...priceless

I'm voting for:

* I don't have an X-Box, and hopefully by the time Halo2 is out X-Box emulators for the PC are good enough to run it.

Or perhaps:

* I don't have an X-Box, and I'll be waiting (years) for the PC version.

Success

I voted a while ago, but didn't post. I'm one of those few who, after playing this ARG, became interested in the Halo universe. I haven't read the books (though I might, if I find the time in the future), but I DID go out and buy an XBox so that I can play Halo 2. So I figure it was successful in convincing me. So far I have been playing Burnout 3 so I can enjoy the new toy. My thought is that if you try to wait until Nov 9th, they may run out of XBox's/extra controller's/Live kits for people who decide to pick them up with Halo 2. I still need to get my Live kit and two more controllers...

I got my XBOX the day they came out, along with a copy of HALO, so I've been waiting for HALO 2 for a long time. I already had my copy of HALO 2 paid off by the time I found the ARG, but it has gotten me even more obsessed with HALO 2. I can't seem to get enough of the screenshots, Bungie weekly updates, etc. In fact, I think I'll check to see if there's anything new on Bungie right now. Very Happy

I'll be buying an xbox and halo 2...
If the pc version never comes out.
When the entire bundle'll cost 50 bucks.
In two years.
I'm patient like that.

ILB definitely worked, even though I've not kept track of it lately (get discouraged trying to figure out what happened since I last saw, quit, repeat 2 weeks later with more info, etc etc).

It keeps Halo 2 in the minds of those that Bungie will want to retain, gets people otherwise blase to the game into it under the guide of an ARG, and adds substantial information to the Bungie mythos.
