Same here. Whether or not someone trolls... If anyone else posted this, it would be perfectly fine. It's annoying to see everyone calling Phenom out on every thread they post in, if nothing wrong was really done. Dl

 		Come on, give it a rest, guys. I understand that some of Phenom's habits annoy you, and I understand why, but he's been trying to be more circumspect lately. He didn't post this in the TJA thread, he didn't give out an OOG link publicly. He's not a perfect poster in your eyes, clearly, but he's trying to improve. This...avalanche of animosity is uncalled for. I see nothing wrong with this particular thread.

Edit: And, fallenenvoy, your board-breaking post on this page is FAR more annoying to me than anything I've seen Phenom post, ever. Edit that shit, I'm begging you.

You don't appear to know what "pretentious" means. Here, let me help.

Nothing that Phenom has done fits either of these definitions. Allow me to illustrate with a scenario in which someone is actually being pretentious. Let's say someone, oh, I dunno, wants to troll a troll on unFiction (my, what lofty goals you have set for yourself!). And let's say that this troller of trolls wants to sound like a super smarty-pants while he or she goes about his trolling. Now, let's say that this troll uses the word "pretentious" even though he or she hasn't really got the vaguest idea what the word means.

THAT would be pretentious.

Umn. Continuously posting OOG links, information etc on an ARG forum despite many people taking an immediate dislike to it is EXACTLY Pretentious I.E. What Phenom is doing.

Am I advocating he be lynched or run off? No. But I will voice my opinion on his actions whether ppl on here come to his rescue or not Rolling Eyes Personally I just ignore the most of it but in this case no. This crap should be put in the OOG thread he already created. I've seen a hell of a lot more negative shit brought down on posters for a lot less than this.

Nope. That isn't pretentious. There may be a number of extremely nasty words you could use to describe that, but pretentious is not one of them. I've provided the definitions of the word up top (they remain quoted in this post). Has Phenom ever suggested that he is more important than he appears to be? Has he ever pretended to have some knowledge or refinement that he clearly does not? No? Well then, he's not being pretentious. He may in fact BE pretentious, but nothing he has posted (to my knowledge) has provided any textual evidence for his pretension. Pretentious is not a catch-all word meaning, "I dislike this person's behavior."
