And may I make it clear that I'm not defending Phenom, per se. I know he's annoying to some folks and I understand why and I am not arguing about that. I am, however, defending THIS particular thread. It's related to the Slender Man Mythos, and here it is in the Mythos board, in a separate thread, clearly marked. It's not spoilerific, it's not OOG info for an ongoing story, it's just as effing cute vid from the creators of a Slendy series.

If I were TJ and Aimee, I'd be pretty disappointed to come here, see this long thread with apparently tons of posts about my vid, just to find that most of the posts are stupid irrelevant board drama instead of comments on my work. I'm sorry that they'll see this, if they check the board, which I'm sure they do. (*waves to TJ and A* Hi! I like your stuff!)

So, with that in mind, this will be my last post here on this subject. Feel free to continue posting whatever you feel necessary, of course. That's what we're here for.

I agree, maybe it should change, but we aren't discussing that and its not the point of my comment. The fact that things need change doesn't give Phenom free license to act like Clark Kent of the Slenderverse and make thread after ridiculous thread of OOG content (OTHER PEOPLE'S content at that)
Also; Should TJ and Amiee "come here" and read stuff related to their work, perhaps they should look under the topic/thread that actually contains valid opinions and comments concerning such things (which ALREADY EXIST wow!) and not have to bother with some assclown's oog thread posting! The content of this thread is fine, I enjoyed the video... I'm just saying he needs to quit with they "Hey guise lookee here"! bullshit.

And Rathead...you're just arguing semantics for the sake of arguing. Phenom's actions speak directly for him and they're Pretentious.

Seriously, folks, harping on him won't fix your problems with him, instead simply creating more strife and agitation.

Perhaps he's not doing this stuff for pretentious reasons, but merely because he takes an interest in the behind-the-scenes nature of the various productions, and thought there were others in the community, lurking and posting, who might share a similar interest?

I know this is an ARG forum, and I do not presume to know all of Phenom's behavior Re: gathering of OOG-but-Series-Related content, but until he shows signs of actually stepping over some privacy lines with the various creators of the myriad series in the Mythos or is reprimanded by them for posting something they did not want posted, perhaps maybe "Live and let live" would be the better course of action?


*EDIT: somehow this does not read back to me as well a complement as I meant it. I blame the wind-down of a 30-minute drive home on 2 giant cups of coffee wearing off after seeing Thor. I suppose it's easier to say: pretty cool video

Sorry, who's the arbiter of what ought to and ought not to be posted on an internet forum the express purpose of which is entertainment? You've yet to actually support your assertion that Phenom ought not to be doing what he does. Sure, you use words like "ridiculous" and "bullshit" as though the reason for your using them were self-evident, but (at least to me) they aren't.

Why is it that the thread that THEY STARTED (which, by the way, I don't see as a big problem, but if you want to talk about "breaking immersion," and an overemphasis on "OOG" posting, I think maybe you could start right there) contains valid opinions, whereas threads started by other people about their work don't?

If the content of this thread is fine, why did you stop by to express your negative opinion of Phenom? It seems to me that he's become a target here for no good reason, other than people got their underpants knotted up about him weeks ago, and now their heads explode every time they see his name on the forum.

I'm arguing semantics because words actually have specific meanings, and using them incorrectly to throw a hissy fit betrays the fact that many of the people who whine about Phenom on a near-daily basis have no idea why they're upset. The guy posted a perfectly acceptable thread (your own admission, let me remind you) and you and others used it as an excuse to dogpile on him, 'cuz that's what the cool kids do. If Phenom's actions "speak directly for him," how is it that I simply don't see the problem? I must be incredibly dumb if his actions are self-evidently pretentious and I can't see why. So, enlighten me, if you please. In what way, specifically, are OOC posts (such as this one, with which you admit to having no problem) pretentious?

The content of this thread is fine with me (Simple, right?) I lol'ed but I also agree with many other posters that it belongs in Phenom's OOG news thread. Phenom's actions/posts speak for themselves no matter how pathetically you attempt to argue finite points of the English language to sound intelligent.

So are we now to expect a new Phenom-the-boy-reporter thread every single time an ARG creator farts off of camera?? Seriously, put the white-knight crap aside for a minute and at least consider my point.
