you must be joking

Seriously, Tony? This seal posted today. How about thinking about it on your own for a little while?

Re: recursion puzzle
help

Have you gotten any boxes? Or are you trying to figure out what the boxes refer to? If you haven't gotten any of the boxes, Red Dog's post gets you as close as possible without giving you the answer.

I've read all the clues you guys have given in reference to the recursion puzzle and still can't get anywhere. Is there are starting letter you can give me please? Been stumped on this for days and it's doing my head in

thanks in advance

Regarding the Recursive puzzle, I feel rather dense Embarassed , as I've indexed just about everything I can in the first box with the cartesian grid (recursive adj against see recursive, going straight across using each letter for each axis, etc..) and I'm coming up with nothing. What am I missing?

Cartesian grid (x, y pairs); the definition box is your starting point; don't overcomplicate how you use it - take the letters as they come...

this does not work gaaaah >.<

I take it back. it works. only you need to divide the thing into small things, just like all those hints said.

Exactly. In retrospect, the one hint that said something to the effect of "simply go straight" was probably the most helpful, but I was misunderstanding WHERE that applied!

It is difficult, at this point, to give you any more without outright solving it for you. The suggestion that the grid may not line up right is valid; you should see a grid where the bottom-most row and left-most column are highlighted.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Use those as your guide, and literally walk through the definition of recursive, creating x,y pairs as you go. Do not try to do anything fancy with the letters to get your pairs!

any hints on how to get the "seal browser"?

Man I've been thinking about it for the past few hours tonight as well and I am stumped. I've tried visiting from different browsers (IE/firefox/chrome/safari) hoping. I've paged through all the seals section way too many times looking for a pattern or anything I might've missed, I've looked up anagrams/shifts/ciphers for "seal browser", and now my head hurts.

Am I remotely on any kind of right track? Thanks.

For those trying to solve Seal Browser who absolutely cannot wait a day or two and figure it out on their own:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Take a deep breath. Calm down. Click around the website a little. Maybe revisit your earlier achievements.

Am I missing something? I've been trying variations of the same answer for about 20 minutes.

weak sauce

Today was a lame day for Monsieur M. The theorem was not challenging whatsoever and the new seal is a waste of time. Unfortunately, Friday the 13th is around the corner, so I'll probably be back to swipe a meaningless 100 points in a couple of days.

Me too Crying or Very sad

I keep trying a variants of

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Mrs Peacock in the Dining Room with the Dagger

and I can't get it. I've glossed over the rooms, characters, and weapons a billion times and eliminated anything not mentioned. frustrating...

I'm with you there. I'm certain I have the right answer, but.. it's obviously not working.

not my day x__x

Having trouble with the new seal & theorem.

What I have gathered for each so far:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
For the new seal, I've done the first part.. where do I go from here?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
For the new theorem, I'm almost positive I have all the right components of the answer; how should one go about phrasing it?

EDIT 2:

Nvm, got the seal browser. Turns out I just never typed it in lol
