Timestamp wonkyness
posts are getting the wrong timestamp

On the page:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=788198#788198

I posted with the timestamp at 10:30am my time (which is correct), but after that someone replied but the timestamp on that post was for an hour earlier and when I replied, same thing, an hour before.

Any ideas on whats going on?

Ever since the timezone change the server has been experiencing some time issues. Unfortunately that too is outside the hands of the moderators and perhaps even of the admins. To check the local server time would require access to the hosted server uF is on.

So I will up channel this to an admin who can address it with SpaceBass once he's back from holidays.

Apologies for the inconvenience. :/

I can confirm that the server's time setting is an hour off. I have to set my timezone to UTC-4:00 to get the correct time. (I live in UTC-5:00)

The primary issue is that the forum software still thinks it's summer (as can be tested by simply playing around with the "Summertime" radio button in your profile preferences.).

And, before I get a bunch o' hatemail... I do realize that a fair portion of you are experiencing "Summer, currently.

I have been seeing a new error, but I wanted to also renew the discussion about the timestamps. My post earlier today is stamped "Today, at 7:49 am" despite it really being 8:39am here. I'm not even going to think about the hour being off until after this Sunday's coming switch to Daylight Saving Time, but the minutes continue to be a concern. It may or may not be contributing to the warning messages I get.

Here's the new error I've seen with the last 3 times I've added an attachment:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/share/ufforums/forums/includes/attach/class_thumbnail.php:105) in /usr/share/ufforums/forums/includes/page_header.php on line 651

I just ignore the warning and submit my post and everything looks fine.

(returning after the DST switch)
My post timestamped today at 4:38 pm was made at 6:28pm -- I guess I'll change my timezone preferences and live with the 10-minute discrepancy.

I noticed the odd-minutes problem appears to be fixed as of today, so just wanted to thank whoever got that done, it was kinda bugging me for a while.
