Nice one pie-ro

Good idea with the photoshopped photo...I had originally put up the one with the three dots on it, and it looked that that seemed to move things forward a little bit, but there was still calls by AW for more evidence, so I think more people just need to send in more images of the region with red dots on it..

But once again she mentions to you that if "and new reports come in" she might move the telescope...this has me sort of thinking we are waiting for something, instead of us being able to move this thing along...

I got a reply email from AW. A few interesting things- the bottom has something like an automatic signature, but with "Belle Reve" below it. It looks like either a title or another person. (It also looks like french for (f) beautiful (m) dream, but the conflicting genders makes me think it's not a catch phrase/ quote or anything.)
She also wrote "There seems to be growing interest with this anomaly, however." Could it tie into the "we are waiting for something" idea?

Here's the full message:

Quote:
Kate,
It's always a pleasure to hear from another female in the field. As far as the Cygnus Anomaly is concerned, I have to tell you what I'm telling many people. There is not current evidence enough to warrant the emergency redirecting of a multi-million dollar telescope.
There seems to be growing interest with this anomaly, however.

I will continue to post on my blog as and when changes occur,
AW

Dear Dr Waller,
I'd like to support the Newton Astronomers Guild's application for a closer look at the Cygnus anomaly. My observations support their assertion that completely new artifacts have appeared in this sector of space and this needs to be investigated.

Science itself depends on curiosity and shared participation in collecting knowledge. By completely shutting off one group's reasonable claims, you are impeding any sort of scientific thought. At the very least, you could look yourself to see if you find similar results, with a personal telescope. It would be harmless, and could possibly be an effective argument for or against the Newton Astronomers Guild's application.

Thank you for your work and your time reading these emails!

Kitty--The "growing interest" part could just be because more people are emailing support and now at least 2 that I know of images of red dots in the region....

My response from AW noted at the end that she is at "Belle Reve", which is a nice tie in to the whole DC Universe. Also, I wonder if she is going to be the tie between different movies, possibly leading up to a Justice League film in the future? (kind of like the SHIELD tie ins in the Marvel films leading to the Avengers movie)

Belle Reeve is a DC Universe thing.

You beat me to this one. I noticed it in the last email I sent here. I just sent a new one with two images from the World Wide Telescope with what looked like anomalies to me. We'll see.

If you look at the list of inmates, guess who stands out? Hector Hammond! Dr Waller must be hinting at us with that clue.

Green Meteors

I came across this article while searching for green meteors:

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/04/100415-meteor-in-wisconsin-fireball-sky/

Also found these sites interesting but I think they are real and not part of the arg...or are they?

So far there has been nothing to suggest green meteors are relavNt. The things NAG are observing are red and stationary. 1person, somewhere said amanda waller sent him a link to a video on youtube about green meteors. I asked waller about it in an email and she says she never sent that. I can post the email if required for proof when I get home. I believe that was just misinformation by someone.

Edit: Here's the email:

Quote:
Mike,
I do not recall sending anyone (or seeing for that matter) a video of green meteors. If you have the video, of course I and my team will give it a look. As far as the Cygnus Anomaly is concerned, I have to tell you what I'm telling many people. There is not current evidence enough to warrant the emergency redirecting of a multi-million dollar telescope.

There seems to be growing interest with this anomaly, however.

AW
Edit: Just read the post at bleeding cool by wallers assistant. I guess he seems interested in the green meteors.

AW assistant mentioned the battle of hastings...He's referring to this

The last time Halley's comet visited Earth, in 1986, many observers were disappointed because the famous comet was barely visible to the naked eye. Some years are simply better than others, as in 1066 when the comet was so bright that it terrified millions of Europeans and was widely credited with the Norman victory at the Battle of Hastings.

As for the green knight i believe he is referring to

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a late 14th-century Middle English alliterative romance outlining an adventure of Sir Gawain, a knight of King Arthur's Round Table. In the poem, Sir Gawain accepts a challenge from a mysterious warrior who is completely green, from his clothes and hair to his beard and skin, save for his red eyes. The "Green Knight" offers to allow anyone to strike him with his axe if the challenger will take a return blow in a year and a day. Gawain accepts, and beheads him in one blow, only to have the Green Knight stand up, pick up his head, and remind Gawain to meet him at the appointed time. In his struggles to uphold his oath, Gawain faithfully demonstrates the qualities of chivalry and loyalty until his honor is called into question by a test crafted by the lady of the castle in which much of the story takes place. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is one of the better-known Arthurian stories, which date back to the 12th century.

Now, this was a couple years ago now, butI studied a bit of English Lit in school, and as I recall the Green Knight was actually the Lady of said house, who attempted numerous times to seduce Gawain, in disguise. The Green Knight was also pretty strange in appearance, covered in moss and looking rather fey-ish. Seems like a pretty likely opportunity for Alien to me.

Earlier this week, I wrote a letter to Dr. Waller from my second email address, and got a response today... I tried to make more specific DC references in the letter to see how the letter was tailored...

Though I understand that this may be an irregular request, Dr. Waller, I am hoping that I can write in support of some of the odd observations that have been reported by the Newton Astronomers Guild. I know that there are so many other needs that need to be faced, and that Dr. Knight is very busy, but he seems to have a unique perspective on astrophysics that I think would be valuable when trying to understand these strange new phenomena around Cygnus. Though the group sounds young, I believe that their findings are sound and, with a little help from you, would be valuable in advancing science, and our government.
Thank you for your consideration,
Kevin

Here's what I got in response...

Kev,

I have spoke in depth with Dr. Knight about the anomaly. He leans in favour of a closer look, however he is also a realist. As far as the Cygnus Anomaly is concerned, I have to tell you what I am telling many people. There is not current evidence enough to warrant the emergency redirecting of a multi-million dollar telescope.

Perhaps if interest persists and new reports come in, that situation may change.

Keep reading the blog for more,

AW"
I enjoyed the casual "Kev" at the beginning... Still, only requests for more evidence in the response, though, so I am wondering what kind of stuff will be showing up in the (hopefully) near future... I am hoping that they bring in quite a few ties to the DC history in this (Starman/Ted Knight and maybe some of the other golden age names)... great stuff.
