I'd say The Alley was the best MLAndersen video in terms of Slenderman appearances. As for Dark Harvest, their best is Log #14-1 and Log #14-2 together, but that kind of goes against the whole stand-alone idea. But I don't trust my opinions, so you shouldn't either.

Yes, if we're keeping it to a "strict" ten, then perhaps there'll be a standard 2-3 maximum from each respective series.

This could actually be a decent "mini-project" - perhaps these can be collected on the Wikipedia page and help progress the Good Word.

A lot of my choices have to do with contextual issues - a lot of EMH, while great and scary, is its own animal and hinges on its context vs. straightforward OMG SLONDORMONS moments. And I think that's fine, but in terms of this - about great SM moments - EMH then becomes harder to classify. Then again, I also cited Entry #18 which is notable for Tim rushing the camera, not SM.

I do think that MLA's The Alley, as well and especially "The video" are up there. "The video" presents an alternate take that encapsulates the whole SM phenomenon - kids being chased, recurring horror, the whole creepy discussion about it between the brothers, until he shows up at the end.

You say ignorance, I say lack of interest.

There are definitely some blogs I've enjoyed - Origin Of Simulation, Seeking Truth, JAF, Make It Count, and some of Observe & Terminate, plus a few others whose names I've forgotten - but I tend to find much of the rest of the Slenderblogosphere impenetrable or unreadable due to a lot of cross-pollination stuff that quickly ceases to make sense to me. If that disgusts you, that's - well, I don't know whose problem it is, but I can't make it mine.

I say lack of attention span and laziness for many. It's bad enough to try to get people to watch a 5 minute video, let alone READ. That would be too much like work. We truly are a sad species anymore.

In all seriousness it's many things, I happen to like a few of the blogs out there most specifically Once, which sadly has already fallen to page two on this forum.

I'm a writer, and I love reading other people's writing. But it's undeniable that the vlogs have taken precedence in fandom, and I do think that while some of the blogs are excellent, I think a lot of the others have been subsumed, rightly or wrongly, into this morass of crossover stuff with all sorts of nested concepts or ancillary ideas that people simply don't have the patience for if there's nowhere for them to really jump onboard. Now, I'm not against a crossover if it doesn't turn into improbable superheroics - and complexity is wonderful, but not merely for its own sake.

This is an awesome idea. The thing is some of these series haven't really ended yet, for all we know there could be even better moments ahead.
