Technically, "WLPAE NNVTT" was on it's own line and had the characters 'L<carriage return>' before it. So it might be:

L
WLPAE NNVTT

The ECHO one is also kind of strange since it is an actual word, but it may mark the beginning of the phrase. It definitely had a carriage return character between it and the Jumbled Text.

When L decrypts to A, WLPAE NNVTT decrypts to LASTW EEKXX, or just "LASTWEEK", because X's are commonly used as buffers at the end of plaintext to make the ciphertext line up.

The cross is the fold up box...

[TRANSPARENT]

fold the box, look at the corners where there are connections, if it's transparent, the lines fill in the words..

I get "Sunday" from the waltz steps in "Tales from Vienna Woods" by using the "forward progressive" on this page:

The chiken likes wierd holidays

Here's what I've dug up, but I don't know about the holdays:
* Catholicism - Conversion of Saint Paul.
* Burns Night - Burns suppers are held in many parts of the world around this date.
* Roman Empire - second day of the Sementivae in honor of Ceres and Terra

I'm going to try Burns_Night.wav

This will be a lesson to me to test out the pieces that I find.

So, are there more clues to the cipher or is that it?

Eye chart

I have been trying the dance steps on the eyechart embed in "danapicnic" to see if they spell something. I haven't gotten anything yet, but thought that others might want to try this. I am not sure where to start.

Solve: Set B to A, then "PROCEED CLOCKWISE" for each letter.

If you listen to the farnsworth-window.jpg_0810.wav forwards or backwards it sounds like two voices saying the same thing. It sure sounds like

bureaucrat ... something could be a sound file if we can figure out whats being said

Diphda- "frog" or "tail of Cetus"
Altair- "flying one"
Vega- "the swooping" (eagle)
Deneb- "tail of the hen"

Here are the constellations I was able to find so far:

Quote:
HR 645 (61 Cygnus [the Swan]?)
Ruchbah (Delta Cassiopeia [the Queen])
HR 318
HR 96
HR 324 (41 Andromeda [the Princess])

HR 163 (Epsilon Andromeda)
Mirach (Beta Andromeda)
HR 569 (Lambda Aries [the Ram])
HR 432 (Pisces [the Fish])

M 33 (Triangulum [the Triangle])
HR 341

HR 8698 (Lambda Aquarius [the Water-Bearer])
Scheat (Beta Pegasus [the Winged Horse])
HR 8225 (2 Pegasus)
HR 8231
HR 8739 (52 Pegasus)

Homam (Zeta Pegasus)
HR 8059 (12 Aquarius)

HR 8930 (14 Andromeda)
HR 8977 (Hyades {in Taurus [the Bull]?})
HR 8903 (67 Pegasus)
HR 8798 (343 Pegasus)

Capella (Auriga [the Charioteer])
Diphda (Beta Cetus [the Whale])

HR 296 (25 Cetus)
HR 4 (86 Pegasus)
HR 8852 (Gamma Pisces)

HR 161 (Sigma Puppis [the Stern]?)
HR 14 (Pisces)

HR 8040
HR 7815
HR 7860
HR 8150

Altair (Alpha Aquila [the Eagle])
Vega (Alpha Lyra [the Lyre])
Deneb (Alpha Cygnus)

Also, as I mentioned before, although the last three stars are all in different constellations, they are collectively called the "Summer Triangle."
