Anyway, I'm not trying to say that Brian ISN'T totheark, he may very well be. But he just seems like one of the least likely ones.

We've never really seen true evidence of any of his motives, if he has any at all. At least with Tim and Alex, we're aware that they have a reason to be TTA. Hell, even Seth could have a motive since Alex dragged him into the Operator's slenderden.

The only motive I can see for Brian is that he's pissed that Alex brought the Operator on to everyone. Aside from that, I dunno.

To me, this seems to be the likelyhood of people being TTA, in order:
Alex
Tim
Jessica
Seth
Brian
Amy
Everyone else
The Operator

Also - yeah, that's fair. Still, IF I'm right and Brian was targeted by the Operator, that's one hell of a motivation. It's extremely possible, even likely. But I'll be the first to admit there's no solid proof.

Inb4 Troy and Joseph don't even know who TTA is yet.

OT: I personally think it's Brian for.. hunch reasons only because it's 6:12 in the morning and I can't think of them right now.. except that he disappeared, lived where it all began, and was closest to Alex of them all.

I don't think it's Timasky because he's been known to jump out at Jay, as opposed to TTA who films from the dark hidey places.

I also don't think it's Jessica because.. well, she was only introduced in Season 2, and had no background from Season 1, no connection, was not mentioned by Alex, and I think was a bridge to the hint that the Operator just has a thing for children. From Jessica's dreams -> Alex's home video.

I think that for almost all of season 1 TTA was supposed to be Tim (there's definitely more "evidence" pointing at it being Tim than anyone else*) but T&J underestimated the power of us sperglords and decided it was better not to resolve it just yet.

I've always been in the Tim=TTA camp, but this season has muddied the waters to the point where there's an argument for it being ALMOST anyone.

*if we're looking at JUST season 1 in a vacuum

Why do we keep pretending there was a satisfactory amount of character development for anyone besides Jay and Alex? There really wasn't. As for Jessica, does anyone else think she might know Jay from Alex's birthday party in Entry 37?

Many people have brought up Occam's Razor in regards to TTA. But why must we assume that the answer has to be simple and obvious for one of the most important unresolved plot points in the series? And I understand about the creators' feelings on crazy twists, but I think they've given us plenty of legitimate reasons to doubt the obvious answer. Also, it's not a crazy twist to consider other characters, especially those that were there, present, involved and on set for the original Marble Hornets Paranormal Extravaganza. Even if they haven't been referenced at all in Season 2, that could easily be because TTA has chosen to keep himself hidden. Why else make the creepy anonymous videos if not to avoid face-to-face contact?

That's definitely possible. But I would also argue that maybe we weren't supposed to come to any conclusion in season 1. You're right, there's more evidence pointing to Tim, but even back then it wasn't enough to convince me. The biggest pieces of evidence were probably "Come back - find me" and Jay's own assumption. I for one, have never trusted Jay's judgment. And the message doesn't make a lot of sense to me... Why would Tim invite Jay to come back and find him, just to tackle and chase him out of the house?

So maybe it was always supposed to be an open question in season 1. If the answer is not Tim, they may have intended to start pointing us away from him in season 2, in preparation for the big reveal.

YamaKami, you have a good point about not trusting Jay's judgement. I for one would not trust someone who goes to a house in the middle of the night, takes a look around at the creepy setting of it... then comes back, again at night. This does not sound like someone who wants to have a long, sane life.

And for kicks and giggles - what else did Jay find when he went back? Slenderdoll. In other words...
