Well done, well done. Just watched the "last" video. It felt like a fitting end to the series.

I may come back and do a post-mortem at some point. I really like this series and thought they did some good stuff, but there are legitimate criticisms, as well. I want these guys to keep producing and I'd love to offer some advice for the future, as one writer to another. (I've never done a video series, but I have some idea of what goes into making a creative work on the internet.)

Hope to see these folks again, especially Alanna. ::tear::

The wiki is empty because I've been busy with other things for quite some time now. There are other reasons, as well, but I'm not at liberty to discuss them.

Alright...
Stephen's acting is really bad. He seemed so...bored through the whole thing. Probably because they had to do numerous takes or something. What is up with the bag monsters? They looked so...cheesy to me. Did Austin beating the shit out of Josh give him his memories back? Did Slendy die? Why would he just sit there while being tackled like that? Was he doing this intentionally so he could kill Austin? Was the thing at 2:10 important? It didn't look like a bag monster to me. Josh chasing Austin through the yard is so silly looking that it's hilarious. Why did Slendy have a face? Or is the mask just really cheap? Why was he wearing all black with a red tie? That implies that he is an actual physical thing with clothes and not a supernatural entity. For all we know Slendy could just be a serial killer in a mask in this series. Hell, all he did in this series was occasionally punch someone. He didn't do much supernatural stuff. I really have some problems with this ending. It feels like they wanted to do so much with this series, and just rushed the ending due to time constraints.
Tl:DR version: This is a good series, but the ending was rushed as hell.

The Slender Man in this series has been changing its clothing constantly throughout the series. I believe there's a video about it on the ProjectRallus channel.

Also, it's nice that a video series finally ended (maybe) and I think they handled the whole "killing the Slender Man" rather well, since it's been established time and time again that this isn't the traditional Marble Hornets style Slendy that most series use. Now I just hope that Josh or somebody will explain what exactly happened with Emet/Baghead/etc. in the last couple of months.

Hopefully... It would also be nice to see that Wiki up. Some people seem to be missing a lot of points (which I find funny, because normally I miss everything ever, but I'm sitting here wondering how everyone else didn't notice/remember these things, LMAO).
I wish I knew how to work those dang Wikis, as I would love to help... OTL

And now you see why /I/ quit working on it.

I created the damn thing, but doing a wiki resource for an /entire/ series? Too much work.

I thought the series was awesome while Josh, Austin and Alana were in it - as they seemed to be very much into the acting and such.

Nothing against Stephen but his acting just seemed very..wooden.

I think the series will be a bit more enjoyable to rewatch than to watch unfold, if you see what I mean.

From our point of view as the endgame unfolded, the main three characters were basically absent for a good long while. From the point of view of someone rewatching the videos from beginning to end, the Stephen stuff is like, what, a quarter of an hour or so at the end?

The Stephen stuff worked fine as a coda, it's just that codas stretched out over ARGish lengths of time tend to grate. Still, again, massive kudos to the guys that they actually had an ending

I actually now sort of see where the "game" might have come in. The Angel's Game as explained towards the start of the series was basically a positioning game - like chess, chequers, or (the game it most obviously resembles) Go, the point is to get your pieces into an advantageous position, the challenge being that the players are both trying to position their own pieces whilst corralling the others' pieces to get them to the place they want them to be. We kind of saw this in how the endgame panned out: Slendy, whilst you could grapple with him and stuff, wasn't the sort of guy you could actually take out with violence, even if it's three on one. But in making Stephen the Collector, Emet/Josh (and maybe Austin too on some level?) created the conditions where the final showdown was likely to happen at Stephen's place - which had a nice body of water right nearby. Then once Austin and Slendy ended up facing each other by the water, Slendy was perfectly placed to get checkmated.

Oh, and one more thing: I do like the way Slendy and Austin's demise was handled. It's like they hit the surface of the water and just *vanish*. It's not like they show Slendy dying/drowned so it's not as though they're dumping on any of the other series. I'm not personally inclined to find ways to fit the different blogs or vlogs into a big coherent timeline, but it seems to me that this ending is quite open for people who do want to interpret the vlogs that way to take it as they like. Maybe it's just the demise of this "incarnation" of Slendy, or perhaps the fate of Slendy in this particular scenario means that he can't intervene in these particular participants' destiny again, or perhaps the vlogs and blogs unfold in differing parallel universes and whilst you might be able to take out Slendy under the rules of a particular universe that doesn't destroy him across all of them, just locks him out of re-emerging in your own dimension.

I'm thinking at least one more video is probably coming, if not one more chapter's worth of videos.

They had a great endgame. Josh looked at the camera and said "It's over." for Christ's sake. This is like Scrubs where Season 7 ended with an episode called "My Finale" and then they did another season. Let's just hope whatever's coming isn't as assy as season 8 of scrubs.
