^^THIS Shocked is a great pic...I wish it were possible to make that happen on vegas 8 lol

...oh and don't say Slender Cop too loudly, around my parts that's a rare and despised creature Laughing at least by the other, fatter cops anyways.

Those were excellent points about why he wears the business suit instead of others...didn't think about that. Especially considering his (Target) audience.

I'm probably in the it's-not-a-suit-it's-camoflague camp. Think about the tentacles that can come out of him. Those would probably shred the back of his clothes. If it was simply his...skin, the tentacles would make more sense.

Speaking of tentacles I ALWAYS get chills when they come out of him in the last video.

Just listened to that, and....well that was interesting. Does anyone know what those songs are, if they even have a name?

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Tribe Twelve review, at long last. I will be going back through the old videos, and applying what we know as of now to them to see if any hidden meanings or theories pop up as a result.

>Introduction - In Memory of Milo Asher
We start off with Noah's description of how this channel was originally intended to be for his twelve tribes project. It has since come out that he doesn't remember anything of that project, but that's more likely just college foolishness than slender madness. He says that rather than make a new account like a civilized person, he'll just post the following records to this one.
Next, we see the boardwalk for the first time. As Noah slowly walks down it, the narration explains the nature of his relationship with Milo. He mentions Milo's psychiatric history, which we now know was hereditary. He mentions their visit, and handily sets up the next few videos describing the strange circumstances. As he walks forward, he begins to approach the point at which we will see the großemann later in Submission 3.
The view changes to the nature trail. He explains how they grew apart and didn't keep in contact, then the view fades to black.
"Last Week, May 28th, I received a phone call from Milo's mother." Here we have the first appearance of this still enigmatic character. I also notice that tomorrow, it will have been one year since he heard of Milo's death, ergo sometime in the past few weeks was the anniversary of such. I wonder why he didn't mention that in his twitter.
"Milo had overdosed on his medication." I don't think we ever established what it was he was taking that allowed him to do that, have we? Also, we now know the Observer was present for this occasion, and was in the room with him. My money, personally, is on Mama Asher. However, things are still too unclear on the Observer front, so we'll deal with that subject as we approach the present.
"After searching high and low, I found the tape buried deep within the confines of my garage." I never really noticed this line before. Could Noah have subconsciously known what was going on and thus hidden the tape from himself in order to try and forget?
"In Memory of Milo Asher, 1990-2010." Now we're talking. SLENDER SIGHTING: In the background, on the left side, when you crank your contrast. I've also found a new clue after ages and ages: The photo has pixel stretching on the right side, consistent with later encounters with the großemann. I knew this review was going to be fruitful!
The video ends.

>Submission #1
We begin with a day (Saturday) and an introduction. We have our first indication of their relationship when Noah doesn't pick Milo up at the airport.
The video opens with Noah in his room, looking at his bare feet. This segment guest directed by Quentin Tarantino. He looks up and catches himself in the mirror of his bathroom (another shot we'll see repeated frequently) and then turns the camera on himself. Visual tearing occurs, indicating our tall, dark, and gruesome friend is nearby. The doorbell rings and Noah walks to the door, passing a dark room. SLENDER SIGHTING: In the dark room, when you fiddle with the contrast.
Noah sets the camera down, answers the door, and has minor small talk with Milo as he goes and picks it back up. Milo stops dead in his tracks when he sees the camera, obviously disturbed. One has to wonder if maybe his mother forbid all cameras in the house due to the großemann, or if he'd just made the connection on his own at some time. Milo then seems to shake it off.
I should note at this point that I hate Milo's hair.
Noah walks back to his room, complaining about Florida weather. As he walks down the hall (passing the dark room), his audio grows more and more distorted. If you listen to Milo's suitcase, it sounds like he's moving along at the same pace close behind Noah but then stops about halfway down the hallway. I wonder why. It's a bit too distorted to tell what Noah's saying.
The video cuts out, then returns on Noah walking down to the bulkhead with Milo. They're talking about Tyler, a character we'll never see again presumably as he's moved to Arizona since then. The camera steadies for a moment and focuses on the first Operator symbol of the series. Milo begins coughing unconvincingly, and Noah comments on it in the least convincing manner possible. This moment might be the most poorly acted scene in TribeTwelve. They stand there for a few seconds, then turn and head back to the house. The video gets powerfully distorted, then cuts to black.
After a moment, we cut back to Noah in his room, talking about a tripod his parents bought him. For some reason, these two young college men are watching golf. I also notice the channel logo is blurred out, as though someone wanted to wipe the shot of all copyrighted material, so they could later make monetary gain off the video. Hmmmmm.
Milo mentions visiting Victor Park, and Noah tries to check the weather channel to see if it will rain. I don't know anyone who has ever done this. He changes the channel and the TV gets all staticky, followed by visual tearing indicating the großemann is nearby. I've examined the reflections in the screen as best I can, and I see no slender suits in there. They chat halfheartedly for a bit, and then the video ends.

Gonna take a break now, probably will post more later tonight.

I will follow this Tribe Twelve review with great interest. Here are some additional notes.

Another thing about the photo. Milo has his shorter, hopefully more acceptable hair, which either means that it was taken quite some time before his visit, or that he cut his hair at some point during the following two years. In the former case, it could help us establish for how long he was being stalked. I'll send Noah a question about this on Formspring, but he'll probably just yell at me or ignore me.

... with the Operator symbol, which means that Noah was already under Observination at this point.

This scene has always been a bit of a mystery to me. The way it's set up, it's painfully obvious that Slender Man is supposed to be seen in the reflection, but I've gone through it frame by frame and it's just not there. Furthermore, Noah doesn't mention it in his Tape Analysis. I'm guessing that this is either a shot that didn't turn out the way it was supposed to, or that someone thought it would be funny to make people look for something that isn't there. I have to admit, it is kind of funny.

Good point on the operator symbol, didn't notice. However, I was saving the hair thing for later on, because in Box Analysis he shows some photos of Milo that look a lot like that first picture.

>Submission 2
The opening tells us this is the same day, and that they've headed to Victor Park. We open on the car ride over there. Noah asks what Milo's been up to in Alabama, and Milo says he and his dad built a barn in the back yard, and mentions It's Boring(c). I have to pause here and wonder what he's talking about. Is this John Fletcher who built a barn, or maybe Milo's biological father? Milo and Noah have some more of their charming dialogue and again decide to go to the boardwalk at the park.
There's then a brief shot of Milo looking out the back seat at a car behind them. Perhaps even then he was on the lookout for the Observer?
We then cut to a brief shot of Boardwalk View A, a shot we'll see a few more times in the series. The camera man (presumably still Milo at this point) is walking forward from the start of the boardwalk, looking towards the t-junction at the end. The view quickly cuts to a different part of the boardwalk, deeper inside. They're talking about how creepy it is, and how sometimes there's drunken rednecks about. Little do they know...
The view cuts to later, them walking past the staircase we saw in Introduction. Noah mentions it's so peaceful, and reminisces about how they went there on '03, before any of it was built. Hmmmm, when did the kid die that the playground was built in honor of?
They climb an observation tower and look around at the forest, then check out some of the graffiti. We see a staggering number of operator symbols, though only one of the messages ("look behind you") appears to apply to the crew at all. Given the distortion that occurs as Noah's walking around the tower looking at this stuff, and Milo's reaction, I'd guess that behind Noah, our tall friend was visible in the distance. Milo loses it and leaves, the video distorting and cutting out.
When it returns, they're still on the boardwalk, and seem to have cheered up immensely. They talk about making up stories, indicating I don't even know what. Milo mentions his job causing havoc with his schedule, and Noah says it's really dull around here oh god here we go.
They reach the end of the boardwalk.
Noah: Since they built it, not much has happened. It's just been really boring around here. I've taken a few walks up and down this and... yeah. Just been really boring.
Milo: Not much changes in this town, huh.
Noah: ... Nope.
Milo: You could take a boat out here.
Noah: Probably. There's a boat right now... All people do around here is just come and fish, and it's really just boring, but...
Milo: I never saw the point in fishing. It's kinda boring.
Noah: Yeah, catch and release. It's like being stuck in a loop of unhappiness. Maybe these fish grew up. Maybe this whole town gre- okay, I think I've got it out of my system.
[Distortion cuts in at this point]
Milo: Unless you're gonna eat it, there's no point in wasting your time.
Noah: Yeah, it's kinda weird if you're the fish, though. Just taken up out of your natural habitat.
Milo: "Here I am just minding my own business and oop, nope, now I'm out of the water!" *laugh*
Noah: Man, I feel like that every day.
[The scene, mercifully, ends]
I'll be honest, this one scene, to this very day, colors my opinion of Tribe Twelve. It may have great special effects, it may have terrifying atmosphere, it may have a star who looks great as he slowly deteriorates, but dammit, it had the "boring" scene. I like the series, I really do, but it's things like that which keep me from considering it #1. That said, it is more entertaining in its own way as a result of things like the Boring Scene, Milo's hair, and Noah's hat from the Nature Trail video.
The video comes back with Noah and Milo walking back the way they came, passing the tower from before. Noah asks what Milo wants to do with the rest of the day, but Milo freaks out, breaking into a run as the video starts to tear up. Noah follows, and the camera flips around to give us the first real money shot of the series, a tall, slender black figure walking onto the boardwalk behind them. Ooooh, love that shot. It's the contrast between this scene and the prior that keeps me coming back to the series.
The video cuts off and Noah explains that he hasn't watched this video since he first recorded it, and only now is he noticing the strange behavior and weird distortions. Further evidence that Noah's own memories of the event were somehow suppressed.

Some thoughts. There's a few hints to their relationship before the series started, and given later events I'd like to know more about this. If the video from Box Analysis is of one (or both) of them, it could have something to do with them "always making up stories" and such. I'd also like to know who Milo built the barn in his back yard with. It would have to be John Fletcher, I suppose.
Hmmm.
That's it for now, more later.

Lol, I don't understand why anyone reviews the first parts of the series, the videos before Grandpa Karl. Everyone knows even the creator hates those videos because they were meant to be homages to MH and nothing more. After he started changing the series into a side story, it gets more interesting and review worthy. The real reviews should be the videos after he started changing things. I see really no point in reviewing the first ones. :/

Everybody certainly does not know this. Anyways, the point isn't just to point and laugh at the dialogue, though that's certainly a bonus, the point is to find the clues hidden as far back as Introduction that help paint a coherent picture of the plot, to try and decode the mysteries using the clues we've gathered and been given.

For all their faults, these videos are still a part of Tribe Twelve. Milo's death, Victor Park, the dead kid, all these things were presented long before visiting Karl, and are still important parts of the plot. Footage from Milo's visit has constantly shown up in Observer's videos. Our dear creator might hate them, but he's obviously not ignoring them, rather trying to use the elements presented here and create something better.

So I fully understand the point in reviewing the early videos. And even if these reviews should turn out to be completely pointless, they're still damn funny to read. Keep 'em coming.

Dunno if anyone noticed, but Sarah's YouTube account was taken down recently. Today she tweeted that she got it back up and reposted the video of Noah getting to her house. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-1MybfvLR0

Regarding the "checking the weather channel" thing...I do that all the time. Though I use weather.com for my purposes. I don't know why people wouldn't check.
