[Spec] Something that's been bugging me...

The whole last group of Wavs on the recipe3 page were related to the contactme page.astald transmitted the wavs so the flea could hook up the connection to durga. I do like the analogy of creepy and it does have a connection to the wav of which you spoke. in fact SP and the Flea talked about this and it became defined as creepy in fleas language. That's an overview hope it helps clear things up.

Nevertheless, the fact that we are hearing them through Melissa means that she is being spied on, in one form or another.

That's exactly what I think he meant...

We were the ones listening in when he first said "creepy", and that was exactly what they were talking about...

Now, we've alerted Durga (and Jersey) of these files, and they're going to want to find out who "unlocked" them. ((After they deal with Thin of course.))

So then that means very soon... They'll be listening in on us, listening in on Melissa/SP/P Flea listening in on them, listening in on all those other people... Some of whom they didn't even realise until last week that they were listening in on...

And if that isn't creepy... I don't know what is.

You get the feeling that the whole thing is about to be tied together and linked up rather neatly by something.. or someone? If Durga and Jersey can now start listening to Melissa... what if Jersey identified with Dana because she went through something similar? Or Jan, because he feel protective? More to the point.. could he and Durga affect Melissa and change her from this course?

.. or would they fail and in the process piss of Melissa even more?

This Spec is starting to give me a headache. Razz

This is all brilliant work, so let me just add in one more little tidbit.

The working assumption here is that the Flea is the one maintaining the spatial-temporal link between Melissa and Durga. I like that. It pleases me.

So, now we have to figure out how the Flea got onto the Apocalypso. I'm positing that the Flea was uploaded onto the Apocalypso by Standish in order to ensure the safe passage of whatever artifact the Ap was carrying. It makes some sense, since Standish has a reputation for being devilish and terribly cautious about his plans.

Take it or leave it.

I think the general consensus is that the Flea was responsible for the feeling Melissa got of something being wrong. It's been established that this happened before the Apocalypso came across the Artifact. Since it's looking likely that the Flea isn't Covie tech after all, I'm leaning toward the SPEC that he's Herzog's agent, trying to find out what's going on because <herzog>"nobody tells me anything!"</herzog>
