Come on you guys, you're missing the most obvious connection here.

Blasky is obviously ToThePark!

you're pointing out a lot of hypotheticals, just as i was. no clear answer who is right.

I pointed out that you can't so quickly dismiss this as TTA, as you seem to want to. I pointed out that the pet theory you want to dismiss it for (Alex as Hoody) makes some assumptions that aren't fact, especially in regards to motivation--you feel TTA wouldn't have given Jay back his camera, when we still don't whether TTA is an ally or an enemy. I'm trying to avoid picking up assumption and running too far with it.

For instance, there's no reason to believe Hoody is Alex--Alex squared off against Slenderman bare-faced and hoody-free time and time again, and took on Masky in short sleeves. He's never hidden his identity. I believe Hoody is Smokey the Bear. Slenderman is a violation of all Smokey stands for: Smokey's child-friendly and he protects against fire, Slendy eats kids and burns shit down. And Smokey's worn people before, in very scary early '80s PSAs. But it's hard to do that, so he sought an actual people ally--Jay. That's why TTA is so focused on water, because it beats fire, and why he was filming from the woods as Jay retrieved extra tape from the car, and why Hoody looks so bulky--he's a goddamn bear!

Lots of assumptions there--especially about motivation, which is unproven entirely, and that Hoody=TTA, which is unproven (but in my opinion likely--"Did you see me"/oh hullo camera). Lots of places where we shouldn't ask assumptions to bear the weight in supporting a theory. Also, bears.

also you misinterpreted some of my post, most noteably the last line of your post. disregarding secrecy is what will get tta caught by jay, he's making a point to not show himself to him so going up to his window for a confrontation would not be in TTA's routine

Again, if the Tim=TTA theorists are right, it's not at all out of character for TTA to 'disregard secrecy' this way, because he did it in Entry #18, and #19, and ######, and #33, and #35, and of course, the TTA entries in which he's sporting a mask--he goes to Jay, gets caught by Jay, makes a point of showing himself to Jay over and over and over. You've made an assumption about TTA's motivations that supports your theory, but it is still an assumption. That's all I'm pointing out.

What do we know? This is the second time TTA has called Jay's attention to a masked man watching him. Unless we assume Jay did not actually see Tim's leg busted and Alex lied to him about it (Jay's unreliable, but not that unreliable), or that Tim has magical healing powers (the likelihood is itself a subject of debate), this is a different masked man.

But what are the motives behind giving Jay back his camera? Surely they would take it for themselves?

Hoody appears to support future MH releases. TTA has an interest in what Jay posts; he wants Jay to keep taping and posting, as evidenced by instructions to come back, return, find doors unopened, collect all the pieces of the TriForce, etc. Masky doesn't appear to need a camera of his own, and didn't bother stealing Jay's camera earlier.

So, why do you feel TTA/Slendy/Masky/Hoody/Smokey would want to steal Jay's camera?

Something I haven't seen anyone else post about regarding 41: in 2 parts of the video Blasky carries the camera upside-down. 2 people did this in a previous entry, and I think it's a clue as to their identity.

One was Jay.

The other was Alex.

This supports my TTA = Alex theory.

Also, I've come to the conclusion that TTA =/= Jay as of Forecast. Jay was sleeping in the car being filmed by someone in Forecast. The person holding the camera couldn't have been Jay, since Jay was in the car sleeping. Jay, despite being able to teleport unconsciously, can not be in two places at one.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jeff from EMH. Not sure why he is wearing a Clayface mask when he's Batman though...

Hoody looks more like someone who'd drop a bomb in a car than a camera >_<
I like it.

So, thoughts..

Tim - No sign of a limp, so it can't be Tim. Also no reason for him to have another mask since he's clearly still wearing one in his chronologically last appearance.

Alex - Alex told Jay to meet him there. Hoody was there. But, this would imply that Alex is TTA, which I still can't really swallow since that'd mean Alex was keeping tabs on Jay throughout season 1, when he was apparently living far away with Amy. IIRC, TTA would have to be physically stalking Jay (like Masky) to know all the things he knew. Or at the very least be in contact with someone who was stalking him, which brings us back into the "Alex and Tim are TTA but had a falling-out offscreen" theory.

Jessica - Since Hoody is obscured by the...hoody, it's hard to tell. Jessica and Jay presumably would have had to have met up somewhere on these tapes, so if it's going to happen eventually, it might as well be now. This would still imply she's TTA, but would run into some of the same problems as it being Alex. It's possible she was stalking Masky stalking Jay, but....

Brian, Seth, etc. - I haven't really thought about it much. It's possible I guess, but considering how little they've appeared, and how incredibly long it's been...

Conclusion - This really makes things confusing =/ I like the theory that Tim is TTA but, due to his leg injury, had Jessica take over while he healed. This would justify the "I'm masky" hinting in the early TTA videos. It would explain the shift from Masky to Hoody back to Masky (hence, as previously stated, an "intermission"). It would help explain what Jessica was doing in the hotel and why there was a combination for the safe in her room.

I slept late and haven't been awake very long, sorry if none of this makes sense -_-

Gah the level of over-thought and here is aggravating.

It is Totheark. Period. This reveal has been building since Entry 39.

Entry 39: Jay sleeps in his car, and we see footage of someone slowly walk by, and never see a face.

Forecast: Totheark's response to Entry 39, where he shows Jay that he was the one walking by, and that he deliberately watched Jay sleep. He then hints that Slenderman will appear in the next entry.

Entry 40: Jay goes into the forest, encounters Slenderman, drops his camera and runs away.

Intermission: Totheark's response to Entry 40, where he says "I WAS THERE WATCHING THE WHOLE TIME, DIDJA SEE ME?!"

Entry 41: Someone picks up the camera after Jay drops it, walks through the forest, takes the camera back to Jay's car, and at the last moment we finally see the ...face... of Totheark. Entry 39 through 41 are all the same event at that park, and Totheark has explicitly stated he was there, and 41 demonstrates that he picked up the camera and took it to the car.

Black Mask is Totheark. Period. To think otherwise is to ignore the facts and overthink things to a ridiculous degree.

The important revelation is the confirmation that Tim/Masky is NOT Totheark. They are separate entities. Also, that Totheark wears a black mask contrasting Tim's white mask.

Now for my speculation.
Totheark is Brian: Revealed via the Advocate video. The significance of this video has never been revealed, unless it's significance is telling us back then that Brian is Totheark. It's the first time we see that weird S logo. Brian's house is also torn up and abandoned, and has weird teleportation properties. Perhaps Brian was taken to the Ark, but was kicked out, and now see's that Jay is involved, and believes he can lead him back.

OR

Totheark is Seth: Seth disappeared in Entry 22, perhaps being taken temporarily to the Ark, glimpsing it, and now he's obsessed with returning, and is using Jay to return.

OR

Totheark is Alex: Alex has been driven stark raving mad by his encounters with Slenderman. The "Help!" at the end of Entry 26 is a legitimate cry for help. The ultimate goal here isn't clear, and may even be a split personality thing going on, but he's pushing Jay towards something, both directly as Alex, and indirectly as Totheark.

I'm also willing to speculate at this point that a Mask will protect you from Slenderman. Or at least obscuring your eyes, as demonstrated in Return.

At this point, I'm almost willing to say that Tim, though certainly insane, is NOT the bad guy here. He may just be trying to stop something terrible from happening. Whatever Totheark is leading Jay towards may be something horrible, and Tim is trying to stop it.

From what I've read on Tutorial, masks (or anything that makes it hard to tell if your eyes are open or not) do help when dealing with the Slender Man, but only temporarily.

And yes, I agree completley that this new figure is most likley ToTheArk. You missed something out though, if I may: In Entry 39's discussion thread, a lot of people (myslef included) pointed out that the figure seemed to have been wearing a hoody with the hood up. And now we have a clear image of someone with their hood up. Pretty undeniable really. Question is, is TTA on Jay's side or not? Or rather, what's his ultimate goal?

As for Alex being TTA, I'm sorry to say that, for now at least, I have to disagree. There are plenty of reasons for Alex's absence and obnoxious behaviour, but it would be simpler to point out that he had encouted Slender Man in the past and survived, so he obviously knows the tricks of the trade. His behaviour can easily be written off as him being cautious. VERY cautious. He probably feels that if he talks directly, Slender Man will know what he's up to, hence he has to know that it's perfectly safe to do so first. Keep in mind Slender Man's good at hiding around corners and creeping up on you.

As for his absence: TTA was there. If Alex is being cautious, he would have examined around him whilst slowly approachingt Jay from the shadows. If he saw TTA, natrually he wouldn't just run out in the open. He'd wait to see what would happen, and help Jay when necessary (unless he priotizes his own saftey over Jay's).

As for why I don't think Alex is TTA, remember what Alex told Jay? "Don't talk to me about anything you see on those tapes". Also, Alex acted odd (spooked, I guess?) when he saw that old camera in Entry (26 was it?), so natrually, Alex had no intention of getting mixed up in any of this, hence it makes no sense for him to be TTA, both conciously or subconsiously, as nowhere in Alex's mind does he think "I've gotta face Slender Man head on!" or anything like that. He just wants his ordianary, peaceful life back.

Those are my thoughts at least.

If the masked person in this entry is ToTheArk, he will most likely make a pretty interesting response to this. I guess we'll have to wait and see what he has...

most of us have been using the same argument with tim=tta for awhile, as well as with entry 39's shadowy figure being slenderman. obviously those arguments are losing some steam.

we could certainly use the logic that tim's been the only character that's worn a mask the whole series, why not him again?

regarding his limp: a person doesn't limp because something's broken, they limp because of the immense pain (i mean, to a reasonable extent. if a leg is hanging on by a thread a little limp makes sense). if tim's been slendy-healed and is currently under a slendy-trance (where he wouldn't feel pain) he wouldn't limp. hey, he filmed water for a straight minute, that could be the sign of a slendy-trance.

Wasn't it suggested earlier that water weakened the Slender Man's powers? Maybe this is Hoody (I'm gunna call them that until it's confirmed who it is) trying to tell us that?

Also, another thing I noticed: The wayy Hoody films kinda reminds me of the way TTA films. Just something about it makes me think of it as a TTA Entry rather than a Jay Entry, if that makes any sense.

I like you. You make sense.

For all the debate over the limp, Tim's been reliable in his villain garb: tan jacket, white mask, sideburns. He went right back to it even after being unmasked. Why switch it up now?

"Did you see me/I saw you" is Season 2's "Come back/find me" moment.

S1: A message from TTA to return and 'find me' with Jay stumbling across a masked figure, a message telling Jay to fess up with Jay revealing footage of the masked figure in his room watching him sleep and scoping out his camera, and lots of "Obviously, Masky=TTA."
S2: Two consecutive messages from TTA with seeyou/seeme going on, another masked figure on tape while Jay sleeps and then picking up his camera, and lots of "Obviously, Hoody=TTA."

I could believe that Masky was coincidentally in the house when Jay returned (perhaps he was also looking for Alex, for stabbings) and is not necessarily TTA. I could believe that TTA's language in pointing out Hoody, from 'something I want to show you' to 'did you see me?', was not meant to be a literal "That's me" but a taunt (e.g. tracing the branches in the waterfall screenshot and adding a "I am a branch!" caption), and that Hoody isn't necessarily TTA. But put both seasons' masked figures and TTA videos together, and it feels a lot like, "Hey, dumbasses, we're totheark. Suck it up."

And Jay really isn't very hard to find, is he? This DIY witness protection racket he's got going on just isn't cutting it.
