not an "isolated" spot. original post from a comic book store. if you visit your local comic dealer, you should find copy inserted in one of many DC releases.

Thanks booba!
Looks like Nelec has been around since the start - at least I'm guessing it's the same guy.

Just thinking about the description, the DOG reference is probably about the early soviet experiments which involved sending dogs into space to test their space capsules (Laika). The NUKE could be a reference to the US High-Altitude Nuclear Tests which occurred about 6 months later, or could be a reference to a similar fictional project made up for the film, either way it may be revealed that one of those nukes damaged a alien space craft resulting in its crash and retrieval as shown in the preview pages.
Does seem to fit...

Hey Kosmo! How's it hanging?
Dessine-moi un mouton. (From the good old Star Trek ARG days)
If you have trouble getting the Super 8 promo over there, shoot me a PM, I'll have extra.

Haha, booba! Yeah, that were awesome and funny days!
And thank you for help, I have first to think out a contest idea - and I'll drop a message later.

I'd like to reiterate Lotto's comment. DO NOT BUY FROM THE LINK!!
On a happier note, the comic is excellent and I'd advise purchasing it from your local comic store.

"No Purchase Necessary To Enter" really? How? don't you have to buy the comic to enter?
Or can we scan the page, or use booba's scan to enter?
Also, is the final panel supposed to be your interpretation of the alien? What about people who have seen it already?

Thank you Booba, this looks awesome.
Now we know:
* Vitas relics were found on the ground of ocean (or sea)
* the dogs have really some issues with these vitas relics
* It's about cold war with MIG and stuff
I like this way of things, this looks like the prehistory of Super8, as everything begun.
Have you found something else there?

I kind of skirted around saying that. I mean the guy was nice and all....
From the "Official Rules" here http://www.super8comiccontest.com/ it looks like they will take art in many formats.
"Judges will review all entries and pick a winner based on originality, quality, creativity and relatedness to the Super 8 comic." ...Maybe should wait till more of the comic is up before finalizing subject(s)? I can get more pages up yhis evening, if no one beats me to it.
I love this part:
"Should the sponsor and judges, in their sole discretion, determine that there are insufficient entries worthy of being selected as a winner, they reserve the right to select less than six (6) winners"
Picky,picky
That also covers why I will not be submitting anything. I couldn't draw water from the Mississippi.

So the link to Christofilis comes to light as well as Operation Belt-Trap. The US space program was going to create a false belt of radiation/EMP to block/destory any Russian spy satellites.
In the process it damages an alien space craft that crashes into the ocean.[/spoiler]

Sounds like in addition to taking care of the Russian satellites - thanks to some great espionage work - the US military found out the Russians had pictures of an alien spacecraft that was keeping an eye on the earth. They got their hands on the intelligence and then applied the Christofilos theory to bring it down intentionally and ended up with an alien and its spacecraft to pick apart at Area 51.
