I guess I'll wait for that to come up as I think my application (which was the first before the site was even live) has probably been completely discarded or never went anywhere in the first place.

hah! the first thing i did was head back to the police department and news site to see if i could scrape up any contact information for the "bad" people! no dice, yet.

 		Figured I'd drop my two cents in, I also got accepted for Product Development at Colefusion. I'm interested to see how this is going to play out.


EDIT: Didn't want to double post....

Anyone notice that the URL's on the City Journal page don't match the names?

For example:
http://www.cityjournalpost.com/author/patrick/
Leads to Cliff Owen's page, and:
http://www.cityjournalpost.com/author/stefanie/
Leads to Sandra McQueen's page. Do you think it was an oops by the PM, or purposeful?

EDIT2: Don't know if I missed it in a previous post, but I found the Police Departments website:

 		After all my whining and complaining I finally got in! I'm in Product Development.

The moral here is that whining and complaining always get you what you want! Smile

Seriously, they probably just took a few days to get back to me. It's no big deal.

Figuring out how to set up my password, or for that matter, where I can log in when my password is set up, however, is a bit of a bigger deal. Someone else had this problem, right? How did you solve it?

I think that is the second part of of the qualification. it is sort of a IQ/Mouse maze type of test.

All the while we are clicking around and trying to figure it out some guy is watch and snickering to himself and wondering "why is he doing it that way?"

To log in, I just added "user" to the ColeFusion-url and...well... logged in Smile

That's because, I'm assuming, you were already logged in. If you're not logged in, it'll ask for your user/pass before showing you your profile.

I wrote the following back:

I'm sorry to hear that. your application doesn't give much opportunity to showcase my skills, nor does it provide a place to explain how one's skills could benefit a company such as Colefusion.

I suppose my 20+ years of computer experience in web development, programming and hacking would be of no use to Colefusion after all. I'll see if Andrea Winterspoon has need of such skills.

Good luck with your new flagship product...

Haven't gotten a response back yet, maybe the "activists" will contact me.
