I firmly believe the new masked character is Jessica. The new madly is also the owner of the totheark account on YouTube. Think about it, Jessica was with jay near the end of the 7 month intermission between seasons. She had access to the tapes at this point while she was with jay. She has some of the video that jay doesn't have, so IMO, it sounds plausible.

Edit: another good possibility is that its alex, and he is trying to lead jay to the ark, which is a metaphor for safety. I also think that Alex can call slender men to certain places and use radiation well.

we see tta from the shoulders up. other than that, the body's hidden by the car. not a lot of body to determine identities from.

I really hope TTA turns out to be a completely independent character (not one of the known cast members alter egos) so that years and thousands of pages of spergin were all for nothing.

There is absolutely no way in hell that this is Jay. Even if this wasn't totheark (which I firmly believe it is) how does Jay flee from the Operator, get a new jacket and some mask, come back calmly to get his camera, return it to his car and look ominiously at the camera, before leaving?

My vote is still for Brian and I'll try to back it up with as much evidence as I can about how it couldn't be any of the other front runners. (Sorry for a long post in advance )

Tim - Why would Tim all of the sudden wear a different type of mask? He wears the masky mask throughout the entire first half of the series. Then he is seen wearing it in entry 33, which technically takes place after this entry. What would possess him to change his mask to this, and then decide to go back to his original again? There's just no reason for it. There's also the fact that Tim's leg has been smashed by a cinder block. This entry doesn't take place that long after his leg was smashed, and it is seen in entry 33 that he still has a limp because of it. So there's no way Tim would be running around and retrieving Jay's camera for him (a 15 minutes walk into the forest) because if he has a limp that bad 7 months after being hit, I doubt he would even walking by this entry.

Alex - Alex has made contact with Jay face to face only a week or so earlier. He also told Jay to meet him at Rosswood Park. So why would he all of the sudden wear a mask to cover his identity from him? The masked guy also practically sends Jay a video saying, "I saw you. Hahaha" ? If Jay had any common sense what so ever then wouldn't he just put it together and say to himself, "Well Alex said to meet me at Rosswood Park, and hes not there, and this guy in the mask is there who somehow knew I would be here. Hmmm...could it be Alex?" Alex would be trying to cover himself while blowing his cover at the same time, don't you think? (Idk I could be wrong) Another thing that I thought of is the fact that when the masked man walks in view of the camera, audio distortion is heard. When we have seen Alex before in entry 26, 35, and 38, the camera was pointing directly at him and no audio distortion was heard at all. It seems as though the characters give off video/audio distortion when they have extended contact with the operator, but no matter how much the operator was around Alex, he never gave off any distortion before. Why would he now all of the sudden?

Jay - I just think that Jay being the masked guy is ridiculous. Why/how/where would Jay change his clothes? And why would he go to retrieve his own camera for himself and then leave the scene afterward? And if this masked man is totheark, which many people think (including myself) then it wouldn't be possible since totheark was seen filming Jay at more then one occasion.

Jessica - I'm not too sure about Jessica. I don't think it would be her since she wasn't invloved with Marble Hornets from the beginning. So when totheark came to be, she wasn't even thought of as a character yet.

i like how people are so quick to state how there was no "actual" direction in season 1 and therefore jessica =/= TTA? really? but somehow the non direction allows brian who really has as much background story as seth. its between Alex/ jessica/ random person in my book

I had Jessica in there too and then she must have got lost when I switched things to X / TTA.

I'm pretty damn sure it's TTA, and that TTA is Alex, but could also be Jessica at this point.
