 		Okay, here's just my opinion of how to decide whether or not a new thread is valid.

1. If it is discussion of one element from a video, chances are it belongs in the video's thread (Who is the new masked person belongs with Entry #41).

2. Do not be rude to new users just for posting. With all the uproar over new threads, it's understandable for them to be confused.

3. If it is a series-wide topic that has no particular existing thread, it is deserving of one (Decoding the S stigma symbol)

4. If a topic is posted that has an already existing topic, please post a link to the pre-existing topic in the new thread.
4.1 Don't use threads that are months and months old.
4.2 If the topic is getting popular without being moved to the old thread, private message a moderator and request a thread merge.

5. If it is a spam/troll thread, above all else: DO NOT POST IN IT. Disregard the thread entirey, and kindly private message the poster and tell them not to do that again, but be polite.

6. If someone makes a single post (not a thread) in an existing on-topic thread that is unrelated to the topic, or off-topic, politely direct them to the existing thread that it belongs in, or to the offtopic or general discussion thread.

7. If a thread is becoming clogged with discussion of an off topic...topic, direct them to an existing thread, or make a new thread for that discussion (Who is totheark and Timeline Discussion).

No, I am not "sub-modding" I am trying to help for the good of the sanity of new users and old alike. Above all else, do not berate someone just for posting a thread. As, I believe, Spritey has stated, we are not going to run out of internet.[/b][/i]

I disagree with number 1. The Entry threads seem to be more general, whereas if you want to keep discussion on a single detail FROM an entry, it's much easier to do that in a different thread. Otherwise, you'll have posts about, say, who Blasky is at the same time as a discussion about if the Operator was in a waterfall at the same time as [etc]. I kind of feel like the Entry threads should be for general discussion and impressions, and in-depth theories should be in other threads.

I've never come across a forum that's this paranoid about new threads and organization. I'm on a Silent Hill forum that's rather strict on new threads (if a thread's been made, they link it and lock the topic, and no game threads are allowed due to bandwidth), but even that forum isn't as bad as this.

 		Alright this is off topic for sure. I was just gonna make a topic in mythos, but then I'd get yelled at and beaten with bars of soap in tube socks, such is custom.

So off topic question!

All I watch is Marble Hornets, but I wanna start something else. What should it be? TribeTwelve? EveryManHybrid? Which is better and how would I go about getting into them? Like is there a wiki like the Marble Hornets one to tell me the order of stuff to read/watch (assuming there are multiple uploaders or whatever)

I think you should watch TribeTwelve first. I tried to watch EverymanHYBRID from the beginning and I just failed at trying to watch and read everything..

Gotta agree there. TribeTwelve starts off really rough around the edges (I still can't watch the first few videos without laughing aloud) but after the bumpy start the videos got quite good, the acting got better, and we finally got to see some really well done Slendereffects (and a pretty badass 'totheark'-esque character). It's much easier to follow at this stage since it's pretty much just the videos, Twitter, and Formspring accounts.

I know someone's gonna say that EMH isn't that hard to get into, but it depends on what you're going for. If you don't mind missing out on some of the meat of the game, it's not so bad if you just watch the videos on each of their channels (they have a few) and read up on the literature (they did a few dead drops in the game from what I understand with pictures, letters, and other paraphernalia in them with some neat stuff).
