I'd love to work on something, but still no email for me!

Meta (maybe?):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you google stop3points you can see some cached versions of the wordpress site. One of which has the following text:

We have a full team of activists working around the clock to provide you with information about the resistance. Pictures can be found below.

<INSERT>

So I'd guess that yes, it's related, but not entirely sure we're supposed to have found it yet. Or indeed at all.

the intranet has a message about the senseless vandalism to some of our property Wink Wink Wink

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ColeFusion Security Team would like to confirm the recent attacks on various company assets throughout the City.

In the last days, two of ColeFusions sites were targets to acts of senseless vandalism. A routing station and one antenna station suffered minor damage.

Ongoing repairs and further security tests should be finished by the end of this week, so that all stations will be back to normal operation early next week.

Although the damage is significant, there was no loss of service and ColeFusion remains on-schedule for the release of their much heralded 3Points Communications System.

Although ColeFusion Security is working behind the scenes to provide whatever available information to City Law Enforcement, there are no known suspects at this time

I am quet anxious, tomorrow we will announce more information on our new product.. Wink Wink Wink

Hi all,

I think it´s oog. It seems to be too elaborated compared to the confirmed ingame-sites and provides press-releases reaching back to 2008.
Though, iirc there was a reference to a Mr. Wilcox in an e-mail someone here got from ColeFusion.

Also Rich Reder and me made a proposal for a prototype, too. It will make the city a truly safe place to live in Wink

Anyways, less then a day till the countdown hits zero and we will see what new disasters come upon us all...

Edit:
\o/ - the prototypes are ready to be viewed at the ColeFusion-page...

We have a nice variety of prototypes submitted, all distinctive and most conforming to the suggested X-Chip applications. Actually makes me hope some of this great creativity is taken beyond the ARG into real life applications for some neat products of the (hopefully not-too-distant) future!

CCS, I see, is playing 'hardball' - rather disdainful of our consumer-friendly apps. Crying or Very sad (Bucking for that promotion?) However, the darker side of ColeFusion will probably love that! Twisted Evil

Yeah that is mines lol Smile

I got a email from Sandra McQueen about the press release; here is her questions and my response:

Dear Mr. Galloway,

I am writing on behalf of the City Journal Post in regards to the recent press release issued by the PR team at ColeFusion. I am writing an article on the subject, and I have a few questions to ask you. I would greatly appreciate your response and cooperation.

Firstly, I would like to know why it has taken so long for ColeFusion to publicly address this matter of vandalism, and why were only the two most recent incidents mentioned? The press release hints that the police have not actually been contacted yet. Is this true? If so, why not?

Does ColeFusion suspect that there is more to this pattern of damage than random acts of vandalism? What are the security tests mentioned in the press release – has there been a bigger breach in security that the press release lets on? And there are no suspects...how can this be when ColeFusion has such notoriously high security standards?

Finally, the damage done to ColeFusion property was described as both 'minor' and 'significant' – contradictory terms, to my way of thinking, especially combined with the assurance that repairs will be completed by the end of the week. Do minor damages require 'ongoing repairs?'.

Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Sandra McQueen

...

Hello Ms. McQueen -

To address you inquiry we have assembled the following:

ColeFusion, being in a position of industry leader, has taken a minimalist stance to the acts of vandalism at our various sites around the City.
As such, although the City Police Department is aware of the attacks on our property, the CF Security team has not contacted the police directly regarding the problems we have experienced, and consider the attacks to be anomalous acts of violence.
Our security tests are to simply ensure our services meet published standards, and are routine in nature. The levels of damage incurred to our network facilities, although outwardly newsworthy given the level of civil obedience observed within the City, had no real affect on either our continuity of service or the level of service we expect to deliver to our customers. Any ongoing repairs are to meet that commitment of service continuity and are not related to levels of damage incurred from the attacks.
We have no statements prepared as to possible suspects involved with the attacks on our facilities, and instead rely on the City Police Department to provide that level of investigation, as needed to continue consistent service and protection for which we are all thankful.

Sincerely,

Stephen Galloway

Sorry guys. I have been busy.

You can add me to the list of employees in the PR ranks. Which is odd seeing all of my friends in PD.

interesting...

So at 10AM, when 3points was supposed to launch, they added a link to the "stop3points" blog on the timer. ColeFusion and the City Journal post have been awfully quiet about the whole thing; there's nothing on either site about 3points, which (as I mentioned) was supposed to launch 35 minutes ago. Any ideas?

EDIT: In addition, the timer has been reset and is now counting down to approximately a year from now.
EDIT2: hours are not days, it's counting down to 13 days from now.

Ok... I submitted not one, but TWO designs to Colefusion... a bit late to the party, but the Proto Arm and the X-Bed are both ideas I've had in my head since I saw the designs of the X-chip and what it's intended for.

My art skills are lame, though, so my apologies.

Also, I'm creating a new e-mail address to join Stop3points with... I don't really want to tell anyone about it in case the Puppetmasters are watching, but it's sufficiently different from my own that no one should recognize it.
