theguy: I've read a bit of Geoff Johns/recent stuff, but then decided to be a completionist and go all the way back to the beginning, hahah. So now it's more like a iPhone, huh? Wink

More minor updates going on; an NAG post, the gist of which relates to looking at the data in "other spectrums", and apparently Robert got busted by the Wall for showing us those images.

This ARG hit Boing Boing today, so look for an influx of new players:

http://www.boingboing.net/2011/06/01/green-lantern-online.html

They make an interesting assertion that we are actually helping parse real data, ala the SETI at Home project:

Quote:
Everyone who plays the game online is making a real contribution to the Milky Way Project, which is working towards identifying images which show the birth of stars - which by happy coincidence show up as spectacular green rings in space.

The Update on AW's blog states the Cygnus anomalies aren't significant. Then Robert's email arrived....am still shaking & wondering if he was able to ctc NAG also Shocked Silly

Robert Frazer in an email wrote:

I am writing to you because I know you care about the Cygnus anomaly. I've worked for Dr Waller for five years because I thought we were getting to the centre of things. I thought we were going to show the world how narrow minded it is, how there's much more in heaven and earth than they understand. But now we've actually found something real, it turns out that's not how it works.

She thinks there will be panic and confusion.
She thinks you can't handle what's really out there.
She thinks that what you don't know probably won't hurt you.

Well this ends here.

I got your email from her special list - I know you've been heavily involved in the work leading up to its discovery. There's a link here to a fragment that was discovered in the Cygnus anomaly, thanks to the efforts of hundreds and hundreds of people like you wrangling data. It shouldn't just be kept on government systems and only heard by people with security clearance.

So go to http://storage.deo-br.com/ and listen to what you find there - preferably with headphones, because it gets kinda creepy if you do - almost 3d.

Then do what you like with it. Share it. Download it. Post it where you like. My only caveat is that it mustn't be traced back to me. These are scary people to get on the wrong side of, and if I can stay in the office I can continue to share information. If she finds out I'll probably disappear.

They can go after one of us, they can go after some of us, but they can't go after everyone.

http://storage.deo-br.com/

Stay safe Robert

Lookie lookie.

Is this a part of the puzzle? Is this Lordinnominata the same as the email? The 1st picture mentions a "Rob" and the one titled "No really, a lot" might mention an Amanda. It's hard to tell with the handwriting.

Hi Redstormloj. Yes, he's the same & you can check the last few pages of this thread and the IG Forum for more info.

Also, ran the MP3 thru Abander looking for a hidden image. Found nothing unusual nor any Spectrum info in Audacity (the new fun Laughing)

So it's only been about 5 hours since Robert sent out the email, and he's already on the run in his recent forum post.

And that audio was pretty cool, ties in nicely to Green Lantern.
I haven't had time to investigate for clues, sorry.

The audio at storage.deo-br.com seems to be
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
someone getting destroyed by Parallax, or at least another Sinestro Corps type

This is getting interesting

Had to wait til I had my headphones: OH THAT was WICKED. Very Happy

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Kind of seems like the ball is back in our court. Or maybe our only goal was to get to the Parallax clip and the game is over, but I certainly hope not. Could we have missed something in the Flickr account that would have had a clue to who posted it, and who may have tipped off the Wall about his email to us?

Hunt is still afoot Laughing Robert suspected that NAG "dobbed me in to Madam" but Brian just posted at the Forum:

Brian at Bleeding Cool wrote:
It wasn't any of us, that's for sure. I guess if Waller already knows we're alright to post about this on the blog then, and let's see what we can do to get the message out that we were right all along.

Went back through the Innominata notebook... still not sure where they were headed with that! Maybe Robert will run to an old friend by the name of Stephanie?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Do still wonder if all this mention of green comets is eventually leading up to Abin-sur's ship falling out of the sky.

An enterprising soul on the IG forums has put the clip on YouTube:
http://youtu.be/0S9JCBiBZqI is the share link.

With all this mention of getting the message out, pondering if we should spread it a bit on Twitter, but it'd be a good idea to give it a hashtag(s). Obviously we can tag it for the film so OOG people know what we're on about, but shouldn't we have an IG type tag too? Maybe #innominata. Robert didn't want it linked to him, but that cat's clearly out of the bag.

Just brainstorming. No good at sitting on my hands. Wink

i believe that would be a good idea i already posted it on fb but twitter would be good and a hashtag is smart but i think it has to be more basic like #greenlantern or something so oog people no what its connected to

We could use both.
I'm going to start using them ASAP

I just posted it on twitter right now using your hashtags. I am the one who uploaded it to youtube last night and spread the audio out to BlogofOa, DailyBlam, ComicBookMovie, and more. I'm willing to help in any way possible.
