[PHONE] Took a step Since I've been unable to reach any Axons that are in Texas, I took a chance and called Dana's voicemail, and left a message for Melissa indicating something along the lines of being a crewmember who was detained after the crash for questioning, and having read Dana's blog post, infers that Melissa is intercepting the voicemail. I left her my number and a message along the lines of "I know you're still distrustful of who is truly part of your crew, but I'll readily prove my identity"
Results to follow, it's only been like an hour

i did the exact same last week when melissa first mentioned breaching dana's communication. Nothing resulted from it except Dana's blog post (which i'm sure wasnt caused by my call alone).

Just left a message for Melissa, along the lines of me being holed up in a civilian dwelling with things I've never seen before that seem to be hunting me, and a panicky "I - I have to go, I'll call you when I can!" before I hung up.
I kept my voice low out of respect for my housemate (it's almost midnight here, and the poor fella needs some sleep!), but hopefully that added to the "Help me, I'm in trouble!" feel I was trying to get.

Hey, this will sound exceedingly cliché but I'm a long time reader first time poster. (Begining to wish I didn't type that now...)
I just phoned up, and said I was in an old abanonded civilian house. I said as proof that her nickname was Operator, her favourite song was Stormy Weather and I sang it (Frank Sinatra cover style. ). I left my number and then said "I gotta go, someone's coming". I hung up.
I also mentioned being unable to reach an axon due to none of them being near me (I'm in England.)
Hopefully I'll either be able to get a couple of axons set up over here (Wishful thinking...) or I'll get one through my mobile phone.

Well, apparently some people who left their names and numbers for Melissa on Dana's voice mail last week are on the axon list today. So maybe you'll be on next week's list.

it worked. she called me.
and alas, I wasn't near my phone when it happened...
she left me a message though...
(SP Voice) "It's been a long time! I doubt you're part of the old crew but"
(Melissa Voice) "perhaps you can be part of a new one... but first I need to know if you can be trusted. Who is the enemy?"

The true enemy is the Covenant. if you're getting a live call, she will accept "Dana" as an answer, but the recording's aren't programmed to accept it.

I got through to the Voicemail, and left a brief message.
Something along the lines of:
Quote:
Hello, My name is Kenko (spelled out my name using the k-as-in-kevin etc method) My rank is Bosun. (My rank from the ship I'm on in my SCA group. Heh.) In order to verify security <insert me leaving her name, favorite song, etc here> My secure line is *** *** ****. I hope to hear from you soon.
I hope that's good. I haven't been able to get too much into the game because of work.
