Honestly, I can't remember, like 2-3ish weeks maybe? Could be longer depending how much publicity this is getting. I'm sure they only want to do one bulk mailing and they probably have a certain number of participants that they get in before sending something like that out.

I have limited patience right now. I just want it to get here...

if i remember correctly, we got our fl badges and most of the other swag, anywhere from a week to 2 weeks after the puzzle was completed. And I think they showed up in bulk form (everyone getting their stuff within a couple days of each other)

I have a facebook account specifically for my inARG character. Does that make me uberparanoid?

Nah, I have one as well. Different email too. It just makes it easier to know what you're getting. That and messages of "HELP! I'm trapped in a cave and a monster is trying to eat me!" on your FB wall can start to worry your non-arg friends. Laughing

Yeah. When I've tried to explain ARGs in the past to my friends they just sort of look at me gone out... lol

Yes, I've gotten a few of my friends hooked on ARGs but I end up getting that look most of the time as well. This looks like a good one for me to come back to after a long break. Very Happy

In case any of you need to know later, my inARG character is Sam Rocz. And her facebook page is probably the only one of that name, so you shouldn't have trouble finding her! She has a book display picture, I think...

I did manage to persuade my husband that ARGs are fun though, so at least he doesn't get disturbed by strange letters/phone calls/emails/requests to travel half way across the country to pick up mysterious packages etc.

Scanned the flyer, here's the full image for those patiently waiting.

Edit (OOPS! Wrong link!)

...ok, that's basically proof positive that this is 5Gum. Huh.

That flyer was the ad that was in DC comics the week after TDKR had it's little puzzle. It is the ad that lead to this whole thing, so while it may seem a bit silly now, weather it was strictly for 5 gum was disputed (mostly by myself, but a couple others as well IIRC).

Long story short tho, yes this is definitely for 5 Gum. There should be zero doubt at this point, as all signs point to it.

(Edited for clarification.)

here's the same comment i posted at the super 8 forums..

Quote:
hmmmm...
interesting.. very interesting..

there's an arg going on for 5gum right now actually:
TestSubjectsNeeded.com

here's the forum.
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=32383&sid=2f5d0e3aef060ce33d5f9ec9818393aa

a couple of weeks ago, a 5gum ad was found in some issues of dc comics. it was found to have a string of morse code at the bottom which led to the website above..
people were speculating that it was part of the dark knight rises arg, but then it looked like it was just for gum itself, because there were articles published saying that 42e wasn't part of the dark knight rises.

a couple of weeks ago, we were treated to a "free comic book" stapled in several issues of dc comics.

coincidence?
perhaps...

Even if this is for gum, im still in. I love when companies go a different route with their ads. Not the same ole hum drum tv spot or magazine ad.
Ive fallen in love with ARG's. Ever since I found unfiction and the flynn lives campaign Ive been hooked. I cant wait to see where they go with this.
