There's also this G-list which says it is a "who's who of gamification". Probably just a coincidence.

Oh and as an aside, in the RIFF header of that .wav file there's a BSI metadata chunk (between the usual 'fmt' and 'data' chunks) with a single defined field:

INFO IART (basically "Artist/Advertiser Name") of tsilon

Obviously "no list" backwards.

Just pointing it out in case it ends up being useful later, although I'm guessing it was just another clue to reverse the audio.

Latest looks like it's probably another PSN code:

X*BC*LKBPX**NZY8
MODULE RESTART: iOS NOT FOUND. OS * SECTOR MISSING.
*RANSFARR PEACE_PACER >> KOJIMA PERMISSIONS NOT GRANTED
EMERGENCY REROUTE TO CRUISER OLYMPIA@ISM/SF/CA

Gotta admit, it's pretty cool that they used Transfarring in a clue. That Konami press conference cracked me up...

I assume the first part of the clue refers to OS X.

The last part, all I know is that the Olympia Cruiser is now an exhibit for the Independence Seaport Museum (ISM), which is not in San Francisco, California (SF/CA), but rather Philadelphia, PA. So maybe PA are the last 2 letters.

That'd make the whole thing XXBCTLKBPXPANZY8

Too bad I'm not on PSN.

According to wikipedia, the USS Olympia now at the ISM has the designation (C-6).
Code:
xxbctlkbpxc6nzy8

The resulting 16 digit code with no hyphens looks to be neither PSN or xbox live. Plus there are references to iOS. This one was an iTunes code, but someone redeemed it before I did.

Glad to see we got the gist of solving the clues, now Smile

New puzzle :
36 ** 8152 **** ****
Insufficient pwr to aux sys // 1/4 capacity
Orientation protocol 6LL6 disengaged
Geolocate archive: OPERATION RECIPROCITY

Looks like it's GPS coordinates...

Wouldn't GPS coordinates come in an even number of segments? Most likely six? (Degrees, Minutes, Seconds for both North and South)

I'm not entirely sure those are GPS coordinates. However, the format doesn't look at all familiar to me, so I can't really say what they would be, either. I will say that if they are a location, it would most likely be in Canada.

As for the numbers, the first ** might be 25 (as in 25%, as in 1/4)
For the second, all I can find is that 6LL6 is the code for a little airport in New Memphis, Illinois. However, I can't find a four-digit number that relates to the place and would match the clue.
The third I think might be the reverse of something, as reciprocity is the property of being reciprocal, or, in math, at least, reversed. What, however, I don't know.

Apparently, there's something called the Canadian–American Reciprocity Treaty of 1854, so that'd be a reasonable 4-digit number.

At first I was thinking Reciprocity might be the name of a game (sounds like a good name for a game, doesn't it?), but alas, nothing.

PS. Also if you "re-orient" 6LL6, like, say, upside down, you'd get 9779.

PPS. If it is lat/long co-ordinates, it's in Kansas. Working on exact location now.

Or maybe not. If 38.25 and 97.76 are correct, it ends up being co-ordinates close to Wichita, but somehow that doesn't seem right.

There's a rather lengthy article about "Operation Reciprocity" on the Shadowrun Wiki.
http://wiki.dumpshock.com/index.php/Operation_RECIPROCITY
I think this might be the "key" to this one, but I can't quite figure what to make of it...

Well, these probably aren't lat/long co-ordinates. I've been looking at the area for a while now, which would be a farming property off Chisholm road, just west of route 61 in Kansas, a couple miles north of a place called Inman.

I've even virtually walked around a bit using google maps, and I have to say, if there's a middle of nowhere, this place would probably be it.

This must be a code for something, or else a Swiss bank account number with a ton of money in it. Razz

PS. I meant to mention, that Operation Reciprocity happened in 2048, according to that Shadowrun article, so there's a 4-digit number that might be it.

Also, for a somewhat entertaining read, check out page 26 of this document:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/54223144/DEA-History-Part2

A real life Operation Reciprocity, with lots of drugs and cash! Wink

Edit: Bringing it back to vidja games, there's apparently a game called ArmA 2, with a mission in it called Operation Reciprocity. Seems like it might even be named after the events described in that document above.

Damn, it ain't a Steam code either. But for future reference, according to the code entry page on Steam, their codes are in the following formats:

1111-22222-3333
AAAAA-BBBBB-CCCCC-DDDDD-EEEEE
237ABCDGHJLPRST 23

So, no 16 digit numbers of any kind.

PS. You know what does have 16 digit numbers though? Nintendo points, when redeemed via the Wii, present you with 4 groups of 4 numbers to key in. I tried a bunch of combinations though, and I just get errors. No way to tell if a code is already redeemed, I don't think.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
disbelief circuits activated // dnf.Gold.Master status confirm
This relates to Duke Nukem Forever. This game passed to Gold Master status on May 24th, after much drama about if it was ever gonna be finished (more than 14 years of development Shocked ).
The game will be released on June 14 in North America and June 10 worldwide. More infos here and here.
The second link actually uses the word "disbelief" in it's title...
