I for one don't think there is a connection between having a camera (or "a cursed" camera for that matter) and Slendy. In the first few entries it has said that Slendy has been seen before without the help of a camera. The only reason that he "only" shows up when someone is filming is because we can only see the videos therefore automatically we will only see Slendy on camera. (hope this makes some sense)

So I support you theory, about Alex leading Jay into a trap but I just don't believe the camera nonsense Razz

I don't think the point of the "cursed camera" is that Slenderman ONLY shows up on camera. I think it's the fact that if you record him, your camera becomes "cursed" and he can find you easier when the camera turns on or what not. That's the idea I've gotten whenever the theory is mentioned.

I think it's more of a thing where he just doesn't likes to be seen. So the more you look at him/record him, the more he is drawn to come after you. Slendy is a shy guy you know Razz

That's a good theory as well, since the cursed one hasn't been declared IG. But it's kind of odd that Slendy would just happen to appear to Amy(?) and Alex at his house when she finds the camera and turns it on and starts recording Alex. Either I'm thinking too far into this and it's just a dramatic coincidence or cameras play a very important part in all this. This fact could be supported by the fact that Hoody returned the camera to Jay.

It fits nicely, don't you think? He's been feeding Jay cryptic clues since the beginning, but never outright explaining what he has to do to save himself (and TTA, lol). TTA has to be secretive and shit, or the Operator will destroy him for his betrayal.

No matter who TTA is, it works. (Spoiler'd for optional reading)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jay: Jay just wants to survive all this nonsense, so he's slipping himself clues. TTAJay knows more about the Operator than normal Jay, like how Tim remembers everything when he's Masky.

Alex: Alex got screwed. He escaped the Operator by sacrificing most of his crew. Jay started watching the tapes, and Alex became a proxy, but because of his deal with the devil, being TTA didn't affect his life with Amy (I guess). That is, until Skully, or Masky, or whoeverthefuck gave him his camera back, and he's thrown back in, a la Season 2. (For the record, I believe that whoever did it found out about the deal, and that giving the camera back breaks the deal, so they dragged Alex back in for being a dick and sacrificing everyone.)

Jessica: Jessica's been a proxy for a long time. Hell, she probably helped bring down Alex (until he made a deal anyway. What if TTAJessica gave him the idea?). Now, the Operator's using her to take down Jay, and she's trying to help him the way she always does. Hopefully Jay can save her when he's free.

Every other member of the MH crew: When Alex handed them over to the Operator, he made one (or all) of them into a proxy. They're doing everything they can to help Jay without being caught by the Operator.

Rocky: Well, shit. If Rocky is TTA, I wanna know how he learned to use a computer. Maybe the Operator taught him.

And what if the whole purpose of alex doing Marble Hornets was to hand everyone on tape in. As a sacrifice and the price to pay to be free of the haunting. Oh I would dang like this

Regarding everything spoilered and also what Ushi said--I agree. There's a plethora of food for thought in all this plus I also think that The Crazy Viking has a good idea in watching Season 2 with the view in mind that Jay is lying.
In season 1,it would've not really occur to me that Alex was up to anything nefarious. But after watching all of Season 2 so far--I can TOTALLY see him being such a dick. And if that IS what's going on--then he deserves exactly what he GETS.

Wow wow epiphany!

If Jay is lying, he might be screwing us over like Alex did to him! In season 1 he was just finding Alex, but in season 2 he has been slendyfied (in the 7 "missing" months) and now wants to get rid of the curse.

However I don't think this is the case. Just an interesting viewpoint for the people who do believe in the "Jay is lying" theory.
I still stick to Marble Hornets not becoming like that. Jay is the protagonist and he is the one the audience relates to (we know pretty much as much as he knows). We do not play a real role in the series.

Just rewatch all of it! I still like to think he's been hiding something all along, but there are good reasons to believe he stops becoming completely trustworthy at multipul points in the series. #12 is the biggest one for me, I think that was his first big cover up. Definantly something to do once I get a chance.

@New in town, I don't want to believe the audience is being targeted, because then that makes TTA videos 5 times creepier, and they really don't need to be lol.

Yeah, you guys really think they went into that much trouble to give clues?

TTA said there were signs and messages everywhere. Might as well look at the spectrograph - it doesn't hurt anything. Might be the thing we were blind about. *shrug*

True but the real guys making the clues are the creators of Marble Hornets, not TTA. Do you know anyone that can make sounds that resemble something visually in a spectrograph? Razz

It's not as if several artists have ever hidden pictures in the spectrogram before, after all....

I ment I don't want to believe that the operator is supposed to be passed on to us. It would still be easy for him to cover up his involvement with Alex.

That was a cool link, and from the sound of it, if you have the right program it's not that hard to hide images in spectrographs. More analysis required!

Here's the deal.

One of the first things TTA did with his account was call Jay out on the fact that he was videotaping himself constantly, and he had neglected to mention it to any of us.

Jay was hiding something important from us.
He was withholding the truth from us, which is essentially the same thing as lying.

So with this in mind, it's not that much of a stretch to think that Jay may be withholding information from us again, more specifically, information regarding the identity of the hooded figure in 41.

Jay told us all that he had no idea who the figure was on twitter, and it was after that when TTA decided to release this video.

If Jay does know something and is withholding it, then he lied to us, and TTA is calling him out on it again.

Of course, there is the likely scenario that Jay isn't saying anything for his own protection, or for some other reason like that where he doesn't want Hoody to know.
This is what I believe to be more likely.

Thus making this video all the more terrifying a response.

"I know you know who I am. Or, you at least have a clue. But you are blind to the bigger picture, and, as such, you will never be free."

That's what I like to think this video is actually saying.

I think I may be onto something.

In Entry #15, after Jay asks him of a man in a suit, Tim seems to be fidgeting with his papers abnormally. Perhaps getting nervous, but why? He lies.

I believe that TTA was referring to Tim, Alex, Jay, and any others that had any relation to the Marble Hornets project and that they're all going through/went through the same nightmare. So, by neglecting the idea that the Operator exists, well, it therefore doesn't exist.

The only problem I see with this theory is Alex's childhood ties with the Operator, a la enttry #37. Like, what does the Operator want with the rest of them if it's only trailed Alex his whole life? Unless:

These theories definitely go hand-in-hand. Very Happy

So, I took the time to clean up the voice section of the Indicator video. There is a voice that cuts in for about 5 seconds. This takes place at about 0:04 - 0:09 in the video. So, here's what I have to offer. I recommend wearing headphones when listening.

The voice is still very hard to comprehend.
