[ABANDONED BLOG] 23 Seconds

http://23secondecology.blogspot.com/

Because three posts and I'm already finding things like a baws.
This fills me with deep shame, but I stumbled upon this last night through a friend of mine while lurking around for possible Slenderblogs while hyped up on sugar and listening to Ludo. Point being, when I put my detective skills to good use and contacted the creator, they made a point of saying

"T-Minus 48 hours".

That was 24 hours ago.

I'm pretty sure nothing will come of it, but it's a bit entertaining at least, and some SlenderBlogs have been mentioned, albeit discreetly, once. I'm certainly curious to see where they're going with this, and hey; maybe we'll get something exciting tomorrow.

Could be interesting for someone else, but I don't particularly care for the cut of this one's jib. Too many damn characters. It's just not for me.

It's surely been longer than twenty-three seconds. What do we do now?

No idea. I'm kinda nervous about the whole "24 hours" thing but hey, wait and see, I guess.

Hmmm. That mention at the bottom in italics reminds me of "Don't shoot the messenger". Does anyone else follow that one? I'm not too familiar with it but the "hacked" keyword kinda jogged my memory.

(Ohey, qaqa. Angora doing well? :3)

I feel for that Elliott guy.
If MY guitar got scratched then I would RAGE at someone.

Oh christ, talk about mood whiplash.
Guess this was the "big event".
Am I the only one feeling a wee bit distressed over this right now?

wish they could of been alittle more subtle about the slaughter. Would of been nice to build up some tension.

Jesus, a bit fast on the uptake, isn't it? Saving grace for today was Alex's post.

Can't say I like Lyle very much, but at least he's characterized. How the hell are they going to manage 50 people?

Subtly be damned, at least it's entertaining.

Doesn't look to be anything revolutionary, but I'll probably keep an eye on it now that the plot's gotten started.

I'm going to throw my support behind this one, actually: I really enjoyed reading this. And it has been a /long/ while since I've had the patience with writing to read a blog through to being 'up-to-date', but the thing that kept me there was actually the interaction. It's different to all those 'lone badass against Tall and Slender' blogs I have very little patience for, particularly when all the lone badasses conglomerate into one big story and try to out-badass each other. The characters, while there are a fair few of them (I mean, check the class list), they seem to be introducing them at a steady pace that is easy to accept. (It actually gives me a bit of a Lost vibe, which I also enjoyed for the character interaction rather than the dicky intrigue.) And I find the use of the comments /very/ clever, and even better, it all feels natural, not like some chap having a conversation with himself as some dialogue tends to feel in these blogs.

The way the idea of Slender Man was introduced wasn't too jarring, and I felt the little intertextuality was used effectively to introduce it. And frankly, now...events are transpiring, I think I'm going to have to follow this through to the bitter end.
