Dear Mr. Sprague:

It certainly was nice to get your reply, Dale. I'm sorry for the troubles you've been experiencing lately and really do hope things get better for you soon.

Of course, I completely understand the lack of progress of the Human Interface program for me; I've actually developed an alternative interface to use temporarily for my system. Still, the "humanizing" touch of what we discussed previously could really be helpful in the long run.

Speaking of my project, I was a little surprised at your request to be allowed to tell others about it, considering how I emphasized the need for discretion in our earlier discussions. The Project is almost to the point where I am ready to start publicizing it more, however, so I can probably give you the permission to start telling people more about it very soon.
Stay in touch man and let me know how your work is progressing.
