Japanese campaign for Super8
Yeah!
Japan is as always very active in JJ Abrams production.
They run the webpage http://do-suru-sp8.com/ (どうする, dousuru means "What to do?" or "What will do you do?")

Lot of staff in.
This campaign seems to be run with Twitter API or kind of thing.
I'm now about to translate part of textes, so soon I'll post here more explanations.



I will try to go through this thing and will report you people about this campaign. I think, it will be my Kishin in Super8 Laughing

OK, my browser crashed with all the translations, so I do it short and painless (I hate if the browser crushes and all my translations are going lost!)

Anyway.

It's a campaign for restricted pre-screenings in Japan, for only chosen 8888 people.

First there is a short story of the movie - with the slogan "We are not alone" (they run the Super8 campaign with this slogan)

Then the short evaluation of movie expectations
* international (rotten tomatoes as source: 91% of all interviewers highly anticipate the movie.
* in Japan: 82,7% anticipators

Then: 5 tips from JJ Abrams

2.J.Jが温めていた「2つの別の企画」を「一つの映画にした作品」らしい。

Which does mean

This is a link, where you can choose 3 movies (from Spielberg and JJ Abrams), which are mostly fitting in this concept, as you personally think.

I choose "ET"+"Close Encounters"+"Cloverfield". The thing is, after you choose the movies, a formula behind the system generates a summary of all three movies into one message, which you can post via twitter or as default user with nickname/userpic.

Pretty cool. You can try and perhaps there are many interesting possibilities.

So after my decision, there was a generated summary:

Sounds like ET.

Now the twitter system didn't worked for me (something with system error), so I had to repeat it. And I've got new summary, even if I choose the three movies.

I picked Goonies, Close Encounters and LOST (of course). Translation:

Movie 'super eight' large expectation campaign! As for me "goo needs" + "unknown encounter" ÷ "LOST" =<The>With it expects!

I tried choosing my 3 movies - but didn't have a clue what to do next. Oh well, I couldn't make it to Japan for the prescreen anyhow. It looks like a cool campaign though.

Which means: Sega makes kind of evaluation with the possibility to win tickets and posters.

But not the tickets are interesting in this case. I mean: it's SEGA. Does it perhaps mean, they will make a Super8 video game? Just a question, without answers right now.
