We're just playing around in chat and from the image on indexB.html you can get numbers for each picture.
So far we reckon:
28 = 28 Days Later (the film) from Nik_Doof, we're definitely not sure on this though.
1 = Mention of One
7 = Number of Cubes
50 = £50 note as confirmed by Nik_Doof
If you use these letters as words from the initial Sente letter on the main page (excluding the quote) you get:
YOUR CYNICISM SAID SOMETHING
I suspect this is likely nothing and we are almost certainly just bored

seems the banknote is a 50 quid note and possibly the first pic might be from "28 days later" --- so maybe number sequence --- then again maybe its all tosh
oh hahaha im too late as usual:)

As promised, I've updated my primer . Not much information there still, but hopefully there will be more to include soon

any ideas what this might be -- its a blow up of what looks like a finger or maybe a seal on the indexb letter pic --- there might be something on it -- maybe an S
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tanspace/ssm/syznail.gif
but it might be a dream
edit oh yeah pics better on original pic of letter -- just a seal i think

Its a old wax seal, with a S, plays right with the Sente and maybe the "S" that Tanner mentions, maybe they call him S due to this wax seal he uses?

I think we can safely assume that the 'S' seal is Sente's - makes sense.
Incidently, has anyone managed to get a match on Traversen Square? I've tried google and autoroute, and got nada so far.
Also, I got this through googling 'perplex city'
www.envirocitizen.org/ STA/2004/DC/Metaphor_Gazette_2.pdf
It mentions I&S Cube as some kind of tax organisation. Pretty sure its coincidence, but can anyone confirm?

Me neither. Google seemed to indicate 'Traversen' is a German word. After some failed attempts I found a German/English dictionary that translates it to 'traverse'.

Of course, didn't help that i spelt it wrong in my previous post - Taversen, not Traversen. But still, no luck.
The pics seem to be directing us to a place - the view of a cityscape, an address, the focus on 'London' on the banknote, the logo of the Academy. Not sure why focus on Sente, or the alternate view of the letter that shows the £50 note lying next to it.

primer question

Wow, this primer is really helpful. Thanks for doing this.
I don't understand what this means:
"2718281828 (the name of the directory that contains the quote) is the first ten digits of the number e"

Damn this happening on a weekend when I've actually got important stuff to do! And worst of all, that stuff involves using a computer It's killing me
Anyhow, I actually think that the S looks more like an infinity symol - an 8 on its side. I'm sure I can see a cross in the centre of it...

Basically, I'm talking about this number: http://perplexcity.com/2718281828/
As Anthrax said, it is "e*10^9", but I thought it would be a little less confusing to say that it's the first ten digits of e (like 3141592653 are the first ten digits of pi), which equals to 2.718281828 (well, to the billionth).
I don't remember exactly how e is derived, but I remember that it has to do something with exponential growth (which is why it's used a lot in calculus), and has many applications in biology and finance. There is even a special log base e (which is denoted as ln - called the natural logarithm). And that's about all I remember

The rest of the cache filenames are decimal places of e.
The number following the filename is the decimal place it starts at.
1817413596.cache 119
2470936999.cache 39
2662497757.cache 29
4274663919.cache 99
4590452353.cache 9
5957496696.cache 49
6290435729.cache 129
6303535475.cache 69
8525166427.cache 89
9457138217.cache 79
If we arrange those in order, we're missing 19, 59, 109 which are respectively 6028747135, 7627724076 and 3200305992 which obviously don't exist (unless they faked the dir structure).

For those interested, i took a look at 28 days later, and though the shots in the apartment buildeing were very siliar. I dont think it was there. It was the same sunset colour (sort of) the railing was similar and the building line-up was similar (from what i could see) but i dont think it was taken from the film
