contactme update from friday 10/8

from the contact me page convo between the SP and the PF:

Quote:
One problem. Someone tipped the queen to the "Creepy" thing. How can we get the files to Durga?

friends > !reveal Subject 5 >> master-sector
seeker > !transmit Durga

seeker > !analyze friends transmit proc
friends transmit proc >>

Um... How about, "Crewmember, What Is Your Version Number!" When I make a face like the Queen, I do this >Neutral

3 questions:

1. When she talks about the version number is she referring to the way the flea tricked melissa into listening to it? by changing the version number to one ahead of the SPDR's version number and then getting her to compare them and update them? ? If so, how does this work in the context of getting the files to durga?

2. I need to understand how to get the Flea to communicate with durga. I read what astald wrote. I read it a few times. I could copy it (updating the wave text) but I wouldn't understand what I was doing. The words don't mean anything to me. I'm not a programmer... Can someone explain how what he did works?

3. Also, why are we giving the waves to durga? I am missing an important piece of information here. I thought durga was "recording" the waves and sending them to Melissa. If that is the case why do we need to send them back to durga? I know that is a way to make the waves live on the page, but I don't understand the process. ... Is this part of Melissa influencing the source so that durga transmits the waves to Melissa without being aware of it?

Ok, I will answer to the best of my ability.
1. I am not sure about this whole version number thing. It could be possible that Melissa will assign version numbers to her new crew on Tuesday. It could have to do with the SPDR vnum though, which is why I have been reluctant to submit an e-mail with a higher vnum then the seeker, because Melissa could see it and delete him.(if she can)

2.

reveal:

Astald
!reveal Subject 5 > seeker
seeker > !transmit Subject 5 >> Durga

!access log extern proc 0

I will translate what I wrote.
The first section means that I have understood what the seeker has said.
The second one is saying that I am a friend transmitting the truth, and then I know that he will analyze this e-mail to make sure it is what he wants.
I then identified myself as Astald.
In this section I stated that I am revealing the Subject 5 files to the seeker. And that the seeker should transmit those files to Durga.
And the last part is a log of the transcript.

3. Durga is recording all of the .wav files we have heard. But somehow Melissa is blocking the Herzog recordings from getting back to Durga. Possibly through the whole "reflecting" thing. Melissa seems to be blocking those files because she thinks they are important, and the SP and PF want those files to get to Durga because they have to deal with the "truth".

Overall, I'm really don't understand what's going on, but I will pretend like I do.

thanks

Thank you. I understand it now.

I think I need to go back through all the about text that Melissa has been giving as mission instructions. A long time ago she said she needed to influence the source (durga). And then, maybe last week, she basically said that Durga doesn't understand the nature of the truth (or some other PF -like thing) and has to stop Durga's access to the waves that contain the truth -- the recipe3 waves.

I assume those periods of time when Melissa is "blocking" Durga is when Durga is "asleep." If Durga doesn't know what is happening when she is asleep, she won't know about the waves. This is why we have to send her the text through the Pious Flea. The Pious Flea then instructs Durga to activate the waves.

This seems contradictory. On the one hand, it seems the PF is blocking Durga from having access. On the other hand, the PF subsequently gives her access.

Maybe it needs to know what is in the files before it sends the message to durga to activate them? Maybe Melissa cuts off his access to these files at the same time she cuts of Durga's? But, the SP told us these axons were the secret ones the PF whispered in Melissa's ear to create. So, what gives?

Perhaps some kind of encryption blocks the Pious Flea from direct access to these waves- even though the axon was built at its command?

I strongly suspect that people are overanalyzing this. Astald got the "creepy" Subject 5 wavs to PF by sending them in an Email with the subject "creepy", right? So this week we need to send the hidden wavs in an Email with the subject "Crewmember, What Is Your Version Number!" Makes sense, yes?

I took this to mean the Queen figured out the method used to send the "creepy" wavs and so that would not work again. So just slapping things in an email is too simple - she is proposing something more than an email with a different title. And of course you still have to make friends with PF, I guess.
