*grumbles* TOO TRUE. I tried to show my nieces and nephews some of Marble Hornets-- and they took it to be something out of the Hollywood horror-thriller world and got really upset when something didn't jump out every other minute. This show ISN'T about when The Operator towers over Jay or when Masky busts in through the window to smile for the camera. This show is about everything in-between-- the stuff that many normal viewers complain is boring and lazy. But that's what makes this show awesome. Messieurs Troy and Joseph know that it's the integrity and the subtle paranoia keeping this series above the rest.

I've tried four separate times to get three people interested into this.

One person had me read the text out loud for them because they were too lazy to.

It's interesting that both Tim and SkiMasky have returned Jay's camera at some point (Entry 18 and Entry 41). Even though Jay has blacked out (and has had night-time visits from Masky and ToTheArk), he only lost a camera after his Operator encounter in the alternate-dimension basement. Jay didn't even lose any footage/equipment when he was lost for a week after posting enntry 37.

I wonder WHY it's important to Tim, ToTheArk, and SkiMasky for Jay to hold onto the things tying him into his investigation. It makes sense if ToTheArk needs Jay to lead him to the ark, but why would Tim return it after attacking Jay in the house? Why would SkiMasky go to all that effort to return Jay's camera? These three characters all want Jay to stick with his exploration, maybe for different reasons.

Of course, Jay had backed away several times due to the actions of Tim and ToTheArk.

If the theory of multiple people are TTA and the mask signifies membership, then they all want to go to the ark, if this ark is even a thing/place. Jay may be leading them to the ark.

This forum needs a "Like" button. Anybody can do "jump" videos: it takes thought and talent to make a series of videos that have me days later reaching in to find the switch and turn on the light before entering a room I left ten minutes ago.

I just noticed something odd, when the car is first zoomed in on, it's facing the front passenger's side, however, when the car is approached, it's from the back driver's side. Perhaps a hand off occured?

I think he just walks around the car.

Wanted to mention that we might have some time manipulation on this one, more than just the possible theories about Blasky taking less time to get to Jay's car than Jay does in running around the forest.

At the end of #40, it is clearly late afternoon by the time Jay gets to the clearing. The sunlight is coming from at, or below, the treeline, rather than directly above Jay or high above. By the time that Blasky gets the camera and walks back to Jay's car, it's much brighter suggesting an earlier time of day.

So, did Jay lose almost a whole day?

EDIT: You know, I got to thinking about this and figured I could be wrong. Re-watched it again. At 4:01 to 4:02 Jay pans the camera across the trees and the sun is definitely below them. Shadows and strength of sunlight definitely suggests late afternoon, early evening. Jay lost a LOT more than 15 minutes or an hour.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Of course, this might be an OOG error since Troy and the actors can't necessarily control when the sun sets. But a good director does account for the light and how it frames their scene. It could also be early morning and they shot out of sequence.

This is starting to suggest a lot more weirdness, particularly as the camera was "found" upside-down, when it was dropped right side-up.

Complication with this: This means that Alex would have showed up a full day later than he said he would. That in itself suggests that the sunlight daytime thing was probably not intentional.

Actually, Alex never said when he would show up at the park at all.

I do wonder why Alex did that. My assumption would be that he intended to meet Jay straight away but then something happened to him - something which meant he couldn't answer his phone - and then by the time he was back in action Jay had already gone to the park and was staying out there.

This was similar to the slendy appearance in entry 20 for a frame or two when the camera was dropped. Just because. Razz
