 		Hey, where is Rosswood Park BTW? What state did this take place in? (past tense since it has been months since we've seen Jay in current time, thus he could be anywhere)

 		I think y'all are looking into Alex telling Jay to get out of the woods too much. If I told someone to meet me somewhere and when I got there I found out they wandered into the woods instead of waiting on me I'd be irritated too. Its happened to me before(not with the woods but with meeting people places). Now add the already natural annoyance with the fsct thst his girlfriend got kidnapped and they have people stalking them and that most of Alex's encounters with slendy happened near woods. Ya i think its natural that he's pissed.[/youtube]

 		Concerning why Alex wanted to meet at Rosswood instead of a burger joint--

If we consider the theory that Entry #38 is after Entry #42, maybe Alex wanted to tell that story to Jay in the forest to prove a point... to "show him something". Whatever it is must be important enough to risk trending on Slendylands.

You've been irritated with people when they don't show when you tell them where to meet you but not when? That seems a little silly to me.

I'm sure Alex was expecting Jay to be annoyed consider there was no time-frame given for the meet. The message saying he was in the woods though = Alex being annoyed

I don't think the hiker has any significance to the story. To me he was just put int to show Jay's paranoia.


oh i totally agree, i was just adding a fun little thing to think about. to mix it up from the repetition in theories. if the hiker was actually significant we'd have known it by now. i did like how he just froze in place though (if i recall correctly)

Maybe they got back to the hotel, Jay asked Alex "Why did you tell me to get out of there/why were you startled that that thing was in there?", and the truth is because Alex knew those woods had a history, but hadn't necessarily ever drawn a connection between the story and the Operator.

Don't forget that Alex's girlfriend is missing, so he's not exactly in the most stable of mindsets to begin with. He most likely just forgot to tell Jay when to meet him, and in Alex's mind Jay would rather go take a stroll through the Slendy-infested woods than wait a while to meet up with him and help him find Amy.

It's also possible that, if this forest is the same in noentry (which is still debatable) then it's also possible that Alex wanted him and Jay to find Slendy's lair, possibly confront him, and rescue Amy. Then Jay ruined the plan by running into Slendy by himself and getting scared off. I'd be a little pissed off too if that were the case.

(Also hi, first post! Been watching the series since Entry 12 or so, so I'm long overdue)

I'm flattered, but no. I'm an drama/biology/education student from Nebraska, not a film student from Alabama. To be fair, if you look at my major, interpreting data and building narratives is basically ALL that I do. So yeah.

And I don't think that the Jessica is Alex's sister theory is too far-fetched, but it's also unlikely. There's nothing that supports or refutes it, but it would be an interesting device.

And I think that Xalmar has a good thought with his first presented theory. Welcome to the forums, sir or madam!

Also- regarding the tenuous the possible Hoodie-Tothepark connection- it would be interesting, and certainly it's possible, but I feel like TTP is this season's Skully (though Skully is working hard enough this season, too). That is to say, he's being thrown into theories completely out of left field, and there's no evidence that he means ANYthing. Oh, well. People are going to do what they're going to do.

THANK YOU. Well, see what I miss out on for being so poor I can't afford a simple DVD? Still, I'd say you're right. Seth's late and sudden addition doesn't mean he's never going to come back. You'll note that his first appearance is the video that the first TTA response was made to. Perhaps TTA was a last minute addition, too? I don't know, it's possible. I don't know how hard they planned in those first 10 or so entries.

And regarding the discussion going on above me, I'd say that Alex knows that Rosswood was a center of Operator-related activity, but wasn't expecting him to be there that day. So, when he hears that Jay was in there, he's concerned, and when he hears that Jay actually saw the Operator, Alex is taken aback. He's concerned for his friend, but initially angry that Jay took the hike because it was an inconvenient hike into potentially life-threatening territory when he has more important stuff that he wants to discuss.


totheark WAS a last minute addition, Troy said so in a Q&A, as a matter of fact he said totheark was only thought of a few days before the first totheark video (After Seth was invented.)
