I feel like I'm going crazy. http://kristovlives.deviantart.com/gallery/#/dnmbbm
I started drawing pictures of this character in 2004. In 2006 I posted this to deviant art while I was in Korea. He is a similar character to slender man (without all the tentacles and shit).
I understand its not real. It cant be. I made him up. Then again he was made from somethingawful. But this is weirding me out. I had thought of him as a way to deal with fractured mental state at the time. He was an insane, very real, very demented, very terrifying stalker of people. To me he was my second skin. He lived underneath the fabric of me. He would tell me what to do when no one else would.
Then I heard about the slender man character later last week. I know its not the same character, but its frightfully similar. It gives me familiar echos of horror down my spine and I'm starting to question my sanity.
Advice? Words of wisdom? Something to make me feel not insane please?

well to be honest when when I was 12 I came up with a TV show about faceless men in suits fighting crime.

When I was little (like 6 or 7) I drew stick figures with their faces crossed out, so you aren't crazy.

Slendy's design is fairly simple, it's not like he's the first faceless guy in a suit, and your character doesn't even look all that similar. No need to worry, bro.

whew. thanks for being crazy supportive guys. I think im paranoid by nature. so it was a really weird feeling. But with all of your comments now it makes more sense that in the grand scheme of things, and with all the creative minds at work in the world, I cant have been the only one to imagine someone/thing like that haha.
Thanks again guys.
Are there alot of slenderman/marble hornets clones or something? (kinda new to this.)

There does seem to be some kind of archetypal element to the Slender Man. Creepy-ass things with similar features have cropped up for years.

Here's some advice:
Don't post incharacter on the UF.

Apparently when I was a kid I used to see this dude who was in a suit and had a blacked out face. Called him my "imaginary enemy" I made some drawings of him and they look fucking scary.
anyway we all had shit like this.
It was weird that my parents brought this up a month after I found MH though 0-o

Might not be a character. I didn't see the picture or the posted date, but judging from someone on here's reaction, the posted date would seem to indicate there's some truth to the story.

There is. Carl Jung called it The Shapeshifter, which Campbell procured when he wrote Hero With a Thousand Faces. It is a character whose motivations are unknown. Often a polar opposite of the protagonist, the Shapeshifter can be a friend, an enemy, or both. The key being that nobody is sure which until the character's arc is resolved. In horror, the shapeshifter is usually never explained.
