Not sure if anyone said anything but..

Impurity: "BEGIN," "ZERO," "OPERATOR," "THERE WAS MORE" (same audio as Regards, just distorted slightly differently).
This is a reply to Entry 12. What "more" is he talking about here?

My guess is "more" either refers to Entry 12 itself (what occurred after Alex approached the Operator) or the entry in which Regards was posted to.

Maybe that's the pattern? Whoever started it had no idea what he was doing, but when the current Operator (see what I did there?) of the TTA account started posting he had a definite pattern.

You know, something occurred to me. Looking back at Exit, TTA's video focuses on Jay, rather than something that Alex was doing. But this video was taken during the scouting/shooting of MH in 2006.

Which means that TTA has been interested in Jay, specifically, for a very long time. I'm starting to think that TTA believes that Jay himself knows something about the Ark, and has known about it for years. Only, likely, Jay has forgotten (or been made to forget) about it - Is TTA trying to jar something in him? Kinda doubting now that TTA's objective is at all related to Alex at this point.

EDIT: Also, since I missed the thread the first time around, does any one else sound like this should be some personal's ad?
YOU: Sharp dresser, love the two-tone look, unremarkable face but completely unforgettable. ME: A bit dumpy in a hoodie and a sad face, sitting near the trees. Maybe we could share a movie or explore some urban ruins.

I'm a little tired of the YAMA=Death thing. There has not been a single reference to Hindu mythology anywhere in the entire rest of the series, let alone TTA's videos. Why would that be the definitive answer to that puzzle, when the method used to arrive at that solution is convoluted at best? We need to give that puzzle an honest second look, ignoring the YAMA solution.

Unfortunately, I'm more of a story guy, and am terrible at puzzles.

I wasn't here for the original YAMA discussion, but when I started going through the thread (before I noticed it was months old), I immediately went to YAMA = Death connnection. Or yama/hell connection.

Also, there are more subtle eastern themes in the videos. Most evident being that entry #26 has several references to repeating 4's. Amy finds the camera on 4/4/2010. She is filming at 4:04PM (or thats about the time that the Operator appears). In entry 37, we find out that Alex's birthday is April 4 (and the film is time-stamped at 4:41PM) As some may know, in certain eastern superstitions, Four Is Death (and the page references MH as well).

The Yama/death connection, although it has been generally discounted, is a bit more plausible to me than a slightly more oblique "blade" message based on inverting the letters and converting to greek.

ETA: link and time details.

In addition to the Four is Death theory, in the entry where Jay is looking for the return address (Entry #34 I think. oh look another 4), it's just before 4:00.

4 is death.....huhm....I'm going to now go look through every fourth video that TTA posted, see if it involves death

I can't really see how this helps with anything but may as well post it in case someone else can.

Another interesting and useless fact to note is that Troy Wagner, who portrays Jay, has the same surname as the composer of this musical piece. I doubt that has any meaning at all, however. I'm not sure how it could.

Guess we'll have to be extra careful when talking about how Wagner's work influenced Hitler, then.

Regarding YAMA an eastern references in the series- generic "eastern" sorts of things such as "4 is death" (which is more prevalent in China, Japan, Korea, etc.) are not the same as referencing a specific HINDU deity in a secret coded video (note that the region is different, India's mythology and superstition doesn't connect to many other "eastern" sources all that intricately).

The point here is that there isn't a lot of reason that TTA would post those two videos hoping that someone would break a significantly difficult-to-solve code and get the answer YAMA with the response "Oh, yeah, totally. Death. It must mean that Brian is dead," with no significant precedent of Hindu mythological influence in the series. You know?

Still, it's better that "You are my Ark," which could be just as easily translated as "Your a$$, my arm." Ouch. Laughing

No, wait, I reverse my decision, "YA, my arm" is totally what is going on.

Thebioguy is right to emphasise the difference between the eastern numerology etc and the Hindu tradition that 'yama' comes from. Totheark seems far more concerned with his old testament biblical imagery - the deluge, the "ark", the "iamaprophet" that was decoded in one of his videos. I think if we're searching for religious symbolism, we'd be better off looking in the Hebrew tradition.

ANywhoo....

RE TTA's "Program":

This video features a two column binary 'clock', similar to the one over Brian's face in 'Advocate.' Binary clocks work like so...

tens ones
8 x x
4 x x
2 x x
1 x x

And its from the pattern of these that the numbers 25, 1, 13, 1 have come - translating into letters gives us the much-debated YAMA.

But, as was mentioned in the link onetruepurple posted (cheers for that) the text in 'Advocate' is upside-down. If you invert the pattern of 0s and -s you get a different pattern of binary clock, that gives you different numbers. If you try this with the binary symbols from Program (that is, looking at them inverted) you get these numbers:

104, 80, 128, 80.

No good for turning into letters, not as far as I can tell. Buuut, now don't hold me to this because I don't live in the States, but if you write it like this it seems to be a valid telephone number...

(+1) - 104 - 801 - 2880

Is this utterly ridiculous?
