Another Email

I got another email from them. Subject: "The Operator"

-------Will you be ready when fate calls upon you to step up and lead the pack? Strike. Submerge. Freeze. Fly. Strike. Submerge. Freeze. Fly. This is not a test. This not the future. This is now. Countdown. Shutdown. Reboot. Mission: IceFly is defrosting.

Regards,
The Operator.

I strongly believe there is, it's just that not everybody knows about this website. Maybe they have like a couple people in each state that get them? While I do believe that I'm not the only one getting these, I believe that not everyone will receive them. That's too much hassle.

Indeed. I am not sure. Perhaps, you will strike a target, then submerge yourself to appear dead, then freeze, and then become an icefly. Yeah, that sounds stupid. There's not much to go on here.

I know for a fact it was your unique combo that gets you this special correspondence. It's very much a game of chance though. I've looked at every combo signature, and nothing sticks out. Oh well, I'll still get something in the mail in time for 12 pm noon, June 30th, I hope! Whatever this is...

Perhaps it is a puzzle, maybe 'SSFF'? A few unlikely possibilities:

I for one am really thankful you are getting E-mails and so diligently keeping us in the loop, thanks for your diligent work fellhawke, I think you may indeed be ready "when fate calls upon you to lead the pack"

Ahahah no problem. Hmm.. in a MISSION you tend to STRIKE. to freeze anything you have to be SUBMERGED? to be an ICEFLY you have to be FROZEN. FLY, well....ICEFLY? idk.

The...Operator? Like....from Marble Hornets? O.o Could it be possible that it isn't related, since none of us seem to be receiving emails?

That's the best way I can describe it

It looked like foil bubblewrap, which is weird considering that it wasn't containing fragil cargo

No. I didn't. They didn't even have my number until I called the number that was given to me. I believe 100 percent that this is related due to the fact that they are talking about Mission IceFly and whatnot. Just because it says, The Operator doesn't mean it has anything to do with Marble Hornets. Marble Hornets didn't invented the word. Just saying. I think Marble Hornets is irrelevant to this.

Also, for those who have an icefly copter in their possession, I found if you unscrew the LED top and look inside there is a short character string. Mine is 'S37131'. Not sure if this is relevant or just the number placed there by the manufacturer, but I would be curious if everyone has the same character string.

Inspecting my flasher unit, this appears to be a manufacturer's #, not clue.

I think the package is being described as "foil bubblewrap" because it has a black metallic sheen on the outer cover of the package. So someone else also got the icefly copter (I like that term) besides myself.

I still haven't received any emails.

Of course not. "I Love Bees" invented it! (But it's strange if 42E is knowingly reusing their character name 'The Operator', surely not the character herself.)

So where did the icefly go on the countdown site? Yesterday I was playing the flash file and chasing the bugger all over the screen with my cursor, but today it never appears for me. As the screen loads, I get the briefest view of the dome/door closing, and that's all.
