Or we can try getting an alternate personality to respond. Seeing as they're all in the same body when an email reaches one it should be possible to coax out another.

I've already sent an email in (bad) Japanese to try and lure out Ame. Someone else might want to try doing one in French.

I just sent out an email to Lucrezia but with the subject "Dear Ame"
This is what I sent...
Quote:
Dear Ame,
Please talk to us. We want to help you but do not understand your message

Lets see what happens. If Lucrezia jumps on me for sending her an email, I'm just going to make up any excuse to try to keep her emailing. We can't just let her break off again. I'd love to get her into a chat room or IM'ing me. Then we would have a treasure trove of information and hints (hopefully). Unfortunately for Lucrezia, she's the only lead we have other than a bunch of numbers that not even my master codecracker friends can crack (You have no idea how many people I tossed these numbers at. They think the codes aren't words but may be something else, btw). Anyway.. that's the plan I'm going with for the moment. I'll post everything that happens.

Nope.. No reply.. OOG I'm beginning to think that the PM's have abandoned this game. I never heard of a game where a puzzle has gone unsolved for over a month and it's been about a month since we last discovered anything new. If the game was active, I'd imagine the PM's would be at least pushing new stuff at us.

I sent an e-mail to Lucrezia on September 28, and i've received no response. One week and one day, but if you remember, she said something about going away again, didn't she? Considering the fact she is our only connection to this game, and she was gone already for a span of about two weeks, i don't think it's out of the question that one of us will receive a response within the next week. Of course, i could be wrong and the game could have been abandoned. If the game has been abandoned, i'd love to get that confirmed by one of the PMs, whomever they may be.

Well, if I were a PM and had given out 2 clues that were unsolved, I would be hesitant to give out more as well. It is possible that someone got close to solving it and they are not wanting to put out a neon sign for the rest to grab onto. Maybe we should start fresh on those two and take a scientific approach to it, ruling out possibilities until only the correct method remains. With enough folks doing the work distributed, it should be solveable. I agree with an earlier post that the numbers do not appear to be any standard cypher, but we have exhausted the possibilities of 13 digit numbers. There was another very good point brought up regarding a base 9 switch. 9 definitely has to figure into this puzzle somehow, as the clues have all been very deliberate. Looking at the first string, 13 cannot be split into even blocks without an odd remainder. I think this means uneven blocks ranging possibly from single to triple digits. That increases our possibilities immensely. Evil or Very Mad Still, it is a starting point. We ought to do the same for the base 9 conversion and look at all possibilities of the blocks, and how we can manipulate them. Where's a coder when you need them? Sad

I've run these numbers by master coders who basically found them unsolvable even when converted to base 9. What do you mean pi ? Do you have some results ! Please explain !! Lets see what you have !!! Very Happy

I think he's talking about where.gif, from Lockjaw. It took them 20 days to crack that puzzle.

I started working on the photo/UPC again. I noticed that on the edges of the photo, where the barcode comes close to the edge, that each bar has a highlight. If you flip the pic on its side, it looks just like dots and dashes. Morse code? Im gonna try again tonight.

I've been banging my head against the wall for days now. Has anyone found anything new of interest? Any luck with the codes?

hi all

just wondering if this is dead? fascinating thread, and really gotta give it up to all ya'll and this unique way of looking at things. This is my reason for wanting to get in on this bad. I need to find a rabbithole... A nice, freshly dug rabbithole..

I dunno, I am going to go back over this thread, and see if I can possibly think of another way to dig at this..

Possibly this is all just pre-game, and the actual game starts when Lucrezia returns on October 13th? At least I hope so, I've really liked the writing style so far.
