[DEAD SERIES] The [Blank] Path - A Slender Man Visual Novel. Yes, that's a working title. Hey all, just to let you know, a couple of us over on Slender Nation are putting together a Slender Man visual novel. It's being drawn and programmed by Lotus (The Slender Nation Lotus, not the UnFiction one), and written by Allan Assiduity (of A Lack of Lexicon fame) and me (of Old Celluloid/Kari's Place indifference).
It's still in early stages of production, but writing is being done, and Lotus' efforts to make a game out of our drivel are coming along admirably.
Here's a work-in-progress preview of Day 1 for you all.

There'll be a wordpress blog detailing our progress up shortly, and I may post updates on here as well. When production is gone and tinkering commences, we may also be looking for beta testers, so if anyone's interested, say so below. Also, when it's released, it'll be freeware.
Enjoy!
We now have a wordpress blog! http://theblankpath.wordpress.com/
ALSO, I HEREBY PROCLAIM THAT THIS THREAD BE OOG. Because I will not be shy about posting here.

THIS IS INTERESTING.
The only thing that bothered me about this video was EVERYTHING WAS MOVING SO FAST. That or my computer was just making things wonky. Normally it wouldn't be a problem, but for some reason Youtubeland is being a jerk and not letting me pause videos and whatnot... :c
So I could barely read some of it. OTL

Neato keen! I love Old Celluloid/Kari's Place. Fun times to be had, I'm sure.

I had the same problem and I read quite fast--but I WAS able to pause and get the gist of the text and the story--that's the only complaint I have.Otherwise--this is very awesome and intriguing and I love this--it reminds me growing up with the "CHoose Your Own Adventure" novels and I loved those and how I got to make choices of how the story played out.
The artwork on this is great and fitting to the story and the music adds to the atmosphere without being distracting.I also like the basic story and how the protagonist is a child, but advanced enough to be sympathetic/empathetic of her parents' plight, especially her mother's.
Looking forward to seeing more from this!!

This looks excellent.
There has always been some speculation as to how a Slenderman "game" might work, and I think you have the right idea here! I cannot wait for this to be finished. You've definitely caught my attention.

This looks good. Seriously, keep going and finish it. I do have to say, though, Slenderman in an Uninvited (Anyone play that?) styled game would be awesome. But I will be sure to check this out once it's finished

The font isn't that great but other than that it's pretty fucking awesome.

Looks neat so far, agreeing on the font not being that great though so maybe change that or give an option to chose a less "fancy" one, but so far looks promising

I'm kinda interested in the game option that says "Do you like a mix of humor with your horror?" What effect does it have? Does it turn the story into something similar to CUT! or something?
