 		I've been gone for most of the day, but after calling for a second time last night, I too received a text from the occultist.

Not really new information, but before I know there were some people wondering if Umbra were many shadows, or a group summoning the shadows.

This is pretty vague, but he seems to think writing backwards strengthens the rituals somehow.

 		I got a call from TheOccultist last night after I was asleep, but the voicemail he left wasn't very informative. I think I just pissed him off after what I texted. I kiiinda haven't been the nicest to this Arg's characters, Carol being the exception. After my exceptionally rude email to Lukas and subsequent lame apology, I don't think he likes me much either.

I'll try contacting him via text again tonight. Hopefully I can pry some details out of him if I am more polite, which I should really be anyway. I detest when I am rude... even if this arg did catch me off guard and freak me out a bit before.

I can transcribe what little conversation I had with him later when I have a proper computer at hand and not a smartphone.

 		We're only a little more than an hour away from *something* which I hope is creepy and not lame. If it's an active live event, look for me in IRC (irc.chat-solutions.org) -- i hang out in #stfeline for historical reasons, as #unfiction is just too noisy for me while at work. If the update is just a puzzle, well, i'll let someone post an update here and we'll tackle it at a more convenient hour.

 		I sent an email to Lukas a couple of hours ago, just to make sure he was okay and still in San Diego. His reply has a bit of a confession...

 		When the timer ran out all we saw was "Sorry you are too late, but upon refresh there is a video of a person in black walking down the street.

For those who don't have a connection to see the video, the following is a brief description of it's contents, as well as a translation of a message written in Enochian. Spoilered just in case.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We are watching/following a person/shadow dressed in all black as he walks down the street. During the video we are shown a graphic of a horseshoe shaped magnet, at the end of the video we see a message: "The first step is ." & "What is the second step?" Then we are given a new website. Once at the new website, clicking on the gate takes you to a another page with many audio and image files. There's also a message in Enochian, which translates to "BEFORE STEPPING FOOT ONTO THE PATH ONE MUST RECOGNIZE THE HISTORY OF THE ORDER"

 		This is what I hear on the above mentioned audio files:

4M –but the spell was a terrible catastrophe
6T –but the shadows grew stronger and stronger, becoming like evil gods themselves
9V –thus standing on an alter made of stone
13 –and when eavesdropping, overheard the true sacred name of the shadows
BD –knowing the name's worth, he hid it in a single copy of his book
CE –and channeling the great magnet of tremendous evil force
DR –who tried to dominate the shadows by force
HP –he opened the gates (weird scraping noise)to hell, speaking directly to the gods of the underworld
LO –who thought he could summon the very power of Ammit (also featured in one of the images)
M3 –giving them power to bind shadows to their world to make them as slaves
N7 –walked through hell, where he saw many terrible things.
OA- there was once a great sorcerer
OU –this gave birth to an order
QA –until centuries later, (I have NO idea what it says here)
S3 –and from Ammit's own belly the shadows were loosed to swarm the earth.
YF –where they feasted on their misery with man
ZR –to be spoken of only by those worthy to find it

I made an attempt to organize them into order, buthaven't finished yet. If someone could clarify QA or make any corrections, I would be grateful.

 		Using tineye, on the images, it appears that some have been changed in obvious or not so obvious ways. So I'm wondering if and when we figure out the order they're suppose to be in, if that's what we're suppose to do, if that will give us the second step.

Here's a list of the differences I can find so far. The * means I couldn't find a difference or I couldn't find an image on the web to compare it to.

26 - y - dei malefici ( I think it's Italian. Translates to y of evil)
48 - There appears to be something added bottom left by the signature
CK - An "F" has been added to the vertical line
EN - The number "8" has been added
Gy - Enochian phrase added translates to "First Person Singular"
HV - Dots added, they look like Braille? "P"
I6 - A separated K was added. (Thanks SilckySmooth)
J4 - A graffiti 7 has been added on the right.
KX - Not sure if this one has been changed*
OY - Not sure if this one has been changed*
PO - Enochian letter "S" added to book
QH - Not sure if this one has been changed*
SP - A letter "P" has been added to the red clothe.
UH - Several symbols/letters have been added to the smoke, not sure what they are.
VR - Phrase _____ of many has been added.
W6 - Not sure if the "H" was added.*
WB - 5 dashes have been added just above the belt line and the person under foot has been shadowed out.
ZS - "Septum" was added, which is latin for "7".

*eta Looking at the source code of the page, it appears we have another UN/PW protected page: etaitini/index.html

**eta edited to change 16 to I6
***edited to reflect the "K" silckysmooth found in image I6

While you were at tineye, did you get the names of the original paintings? I recognize the SEPTUM one as Saturn eating his children. I'll research the rest if you don't have a list handy.

The phrase "21st" is added to the left of the signature. The 21st letter would make that a 'U'.

Not sure what to make of this one. It jumped out to me as morse code (even though it curves) in which case the first two look more like dots to me, making it a '2'.
However, I could be wrong and we're just meant to take the number 5.

 		argh i dont know why i thought it was set to expire tomorrow at 2pm PST lol im all screwed up but gj so far guys, time for me to dive headfirst and see if i can swim!


EDIT: Working on photoshop with the UH pic, I can see an 8 and an A under it.

I tried uploading it to photobucket so I could post it but I guess the filter I used doesnt want to play nice.. so if anyone has photoshop, use "note paper" and itll make the 8 and the A pop out clearly.. gonna work on the others now.

EDIT OF MY EDIT: Now that Im looking at it, the A could possibly be a 4.. and seeing as how theres a picture labeled "48" could this be a breadcrumb puzzle? After all, our friendly neighborhood demon summoner DID tell us "The first step is to follow"... gonna test my theory out.. [EDIT: If it were that the first letter turned out to be an O, the second could in fact be an A which would lead us to the label of the first line of the audio files (after Enaxor reassembled them.)

There are also 2 sets of double lines added into this painting at the womans head level and waist level - Dont know how I didn't see that in Random's post before this one >.<]

 		Sorry for the double post, this one has to do with the audio recordings.

I tried to put them in order and added parenthesis to words that may needed to be added or changed? I havent been able to hear the recordings forwards so I'm working somewhat on faith here Wink

Audio Files in (somewhat) order (i think lol):

I know it's going to be off by a few but I figured I'd at least try to put the sentences that seemed to fit together..

EDIT: Interesting note, (since Ive become the king of sidetracking >.<) within the codes to the left, when laid out, possess all the letters needed for the name "Solomon".. then again they also contain the letters for "HP LOVECRAFT" too lol

Also, I think the picture "16" isnt actually 16 but an upper case I and a 6 so "I6"

EDIT(Again): Argh sorry Im seein things left and right here so I have to keep making edits. Notice on the main page theres an Altar, Magnet, and Gate? In the version I just made, the three lines that involve those three words are actually in order and back to back.. I bolded them above to make it clearer. I wonder if their particular corresponding labels have any significance with each other?
