And then, maybe, we can finally put Ebertgate behind us and go back to wondering if we'll ever see Kevin, or if Mary Asher set fire to Liam, or if Sarah was having an affair with Milo... like the good old days.

Mary Asher was having an affair with Sarah while Milo set fire to Liam. Clearly.

But then Sarah cheated on Mary Asher with miss Slurpyglasses, causing Mary Asher to beat Slurpyglasses to death with a Nazi diary. It's all making sense now.

This has been my biggest point. I won't lie: every single person who criticized Adam for the video, but then criticized him again for defending himself (save Atom, who was following the rules) is, as far as I am concerned, a coward.

I would sure appreciate some clarification on that opinion. What exactly is cowardly about criticism? The viewers had the balls to offer their opinions, Adam had the balls to publicly become defensive about them, and some of the viewers (like me) then had the balls to criticize what they saw as the less-than-graceful way in which he defended himself, not because they are trolls or cowards, but because they legitimately enjoy the dude's work and they thought it was an unfortunate post. Would you have me slobber sycophantically over his every word, even if they sit funny with me? Man, I would fucking hate it if someone did that to me. Frankly, that strikes me as far more cowardly than actually saying something about it.

CHRIST no. I love reading the criticism on this site. My complaint was against those who didn't so much criticize the way Adam responded, but more so criticized /that/ he responded. I'm sorry if that's not very clear, but I'm trying my best, I've been awake less than two hours, and the caffeine is just now hitting my bloodstream.

And Rodion, the above applies here. I wasn't trying to inflame anyone here, and honestly, my beef isn't strictly with Unfiction about this. (There were others who had that attitude.) I just felt that it's shared.

What it comes down to is this: if you criticize something, that's all well and good. But if you then either refuse to acknowledge response to your criticism, or ignore the substance of that criticism to attack the method of that criticism, you're being cowardly.

And I reject the concept of "immersion" as it applies to this. I've got my reasons, but this isn't the place to discuss them. (Anyone can feel free to PM me, or find me on Angora, if you want to discuss that.)

This isn't a big deal, and we don't need to form a sub-committee over it. It's not reflective of anybody's character. I would suggest that one of the surefire ways you could TURN IT INTO a big deal would be by slinging around words like "coward," or (on the other side of this silly equation) getting hot and bothered by Adam posting in his own thread.

It is somewhat of a big deal, unfortunately. Up until now, we've somewhat looked the other way when creators post craftily in the threads, but now we have to take a strict stance on the rules. Otherwise we get people like 20dollaz saying that there's some sort of favoritism happening. And he's not 100% wrong on that.

Ah, okay. I see, I see. Thanks for clarifying. Looks like I got a bit defensive over nothing. Didn't mean to piss on your proverbial rug, Cougar Draven Wink

No, no, no, you've got it all wrong. Mary is the grandchild of Hitler, inherited his diary, was adopted by Karl, married a Jewish orphan and gave birth to Milo, who channeled the observer into Noah to make him set the boardwalk on fire, which burned Liam's house down. Sarah is Liam's former lover and is out for sweet slendervengance. Seriously guys, does it need to be spelled out for you?

Back on topic, somewhat. Who do you all think the Observer is?

A. Noah
B. Milo
C. Liam
D. Kevin
E. Someone Else

Someone Else. I would have said Milo, if not for the glasses.

I'm mostly basing this on what Observer told us on Formspring, about watching Milo die and whatnot. If this wasn't Observer-Milo watching Human-Milo die (again, this would be my main theory if it wasn't for those damn glasses), there's really no one in the story that fits.

One problem is that we don't know that much about what being an Observer means. If you can you still appear as your normal self (and some of the Formspring responses seemed to point that way), then my main suspect would be Mary Asher.

Not just someone else, but everyone else. The Observer said on formspring that he was a collective mind. I think he is a being made up of the minds of those that slenderman has slenderfied, and is constantly searching for more victims.

Also it is clear that the Observer, whatever it is, can directly interface with computers (telepathically?), kinda like the transformers did in that horrible movie. Because of the way he "Sees" the internet, he can change things in ways that don't make sense to us, i.e. the new profile pic that can't be changed back, and the mysterious keylogger.

For some reason, though, he can't use the spacebar when in the computer like that. I remember him saying on the formspring that typing with no spaces "makesiteasierforme."

But yeah, that's all I've got for now.

(I have no outside information that would ruin this development, honestly.)

I'm kinda thinking that the Observer is Milo, somehow. Only because I love twists like that, when the antagonist was really just a friend / relative that was dead from the beginning.

Perhaps the Observer is Teddy Valiant then?

It's been established the Observer is some kind of collective of many people or souls, but I think in terms of activity in TT it has some sort of central physical mass and I suspect that is Milo. But he's probably not the only one.

Yes, the Observer "saw" Milo die - because the Observer is/was not Milo. But Milo is now part of it and has become the Observer for all intents and purposes of its interaction with Noah.
