Posting a New Series?
To Creators:The Terms of Service in Layman's Terms As They Apply to You

Here is what you need to know:

1. Do not post a link to your own blog, whether it be in character or out.
2. Do not post in any thread about your own series, whether it be in character or out.
3. Do not send other characters or participants within your series to make in-game or out-of-game posts within a thread about your series.
4. Never post in character. Ever.
5. If indeed you are posting a new series, and you are NOT it's creator (see 1-4) name the thread something other than "New Series" or "Found This." Try using the blog title, or the channel name if it is a vlog.

If you are worried your series won't get found on it's own, PM TrailheadTroll with a link to your series; PLEASE don't take the posting of your trailhead (a.k.a. a link to your series) into your own hands.

You forgot to add that if your series is popular enough, rule 2 doesn't apply.

Yeah...sorry for repeatedly raping rule 2...I apologise for those infringements

Except that Rule 2 /always/ applies. Next time, perhaps you could be a little less passive-aggressive and actually just say what you mean.

I was saying that you and the others were not doing your job properly.
Does it sound better that way? I don't really think so.

At least it's honest, which is better than trying to say something without actually having to say the words.

If you don't think I'm doing my job properly, then say something. I'm not going to retaliate, and I seriously doubt Dixie or Atom will either.

This list is a result of us all getting together and recognizing that there have been a few problems in the past. They're being dealt with, and will be dealt with continually, in the future.

But really. It'd be much, much better if you guys actually did most of our "work" for us by following the rules. (Not a specifically targeted statement, meant generally.)

I doubt Lewa was very concerned over you "retaliating" much less Dixie or CoA doing such a childish unmod-like thing.

There's a weird thing called Tact and Politeness that seems little used by most posters in the forums... Lewa seems to grasp these rare concepts and should be thanked for it, not chided by someone a little late on picking things up. *EDIT; Would wah wah curse lolrage curse nimbus wah wah yadda yadda have made you feel better to read than what Lewa wrote?

Maybe instead of focusing on Lewa's method of bringing the point up you should concentrate on the actual issue (which has been resolved, I know).
Telling the people bringing up the concerns that we should "all be following the rules better" is pretty damn ridiculous seeing as how we can't control what Nimbus or anyone else happens to post...and just to ease your mind I am in no way concerned about "retaliation" from you for expressing my opinion on your sloppy work and shitty attitude towards posters on here like posted above. I may be an asshole and a loud one, but I actually follow the forum rules.

Yes, you do follow the forum rules. And I'm thankful for it.

I wasn't expecting cursing and mindless rage. All I was saying was that if someone has a problem with the way that I, or any of the mods, am doing my (our) job(s), then just say so. It saves you some beating around the bush, and it saves me the time of reading something passive-aggressive. It does everyone a favor.

And I know that I can't control what people do here, and I'm not going to try to, but I can at least /ask/ that they follow the rules. I do it. You do it. Why can't everyone else?

Well in all fairness, Lewa may not have come right out and said but it was a fairly obvious statement of the incident, just saying. Also, you and CoA did do your jobs properly, took care of concerns etc so How it was handled was never an issue for me anyways.

I feel you on wishing more people would follow the rules, I really do.

This is something that every user working together can fix, by creating a culture of discussion that civilly discourages errant behavior and rewards the appropriate. Less wishful thinking, more collective action and joint acceptance of responsibility perhaps?

The mods are here to facilitate discussion, not act as police or surrogate mommies. It's up to you guys to decide what kinds of discussion you want to have and then do it. Smile

No disrespect intended here at all SpaceBass, I am a huge fan of what you have going here...but sugarcoating your moderator's authority on these forums in the name of "facilitating discussion" will only detract from the intended free speech and unlimited discussion of all topics contained herein.

Maybe the moderators should be seen in the light that you convey but also maybe "walk quietly and carry a big stick"? Cool Just a thought...
and this is due to that fact that no matter all of Your good intentions, there will be internet assholes and trolls that do not care about your intentions of free speech and Story Immersion.
