Hmmm... seems to be a more "collaborative" online expansion of the existing books. No mention of a treasure hunt unfortunately.

Its linked to this - http://www.pottermore.com/en/notify
I was expecting an online game, of sorts. I don't know about Potter, but I have played Potter games.
Won't be able to help much on Collab fan-fics or what-not, I don't know the universe.

Getting a "Site Unavailable" message on that... will try again later.
You never know - it could be related to a treasure hunt.

1st million users It says on the press release that the 1st million users to complete the challenge (to be given on July 31st) will be among those that use the website first -- not the first million that signs their emails up today. *phew* what a relief.
Of course, there will be a website overload on the 31st, so I wonder what kind of issues the challenge will present. :/

thank you all for links. I saw the screen capture on this article and wondered how in the world to find it.

I guess i didn't understand the "follow the owl" instructions. I'll sign up for later notification. I don't feel compelled to be responsible for building the site with that early access.

My email isn't in yet (Signed up earlier but I guess it choked on the traffic.)
Anyway it may be worth nothing that the Owl's shadow floats over text from Chapter 12 of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's (Philosopher's?) Stone.
P. 163 P. 164
Actually that is a good question. Which name will be used for the international?
Um, anyway...

That's a good point. Everyone must have thought how awkward the cut scene was of 'the owl' flying over a book in frame 1:30 on YouTube. Also, why is that section edited out of her video on Pottermore? It's missing.
Just thinking out load. If this is not a puzzle... she is doing a great job of imitating one. Before the owl scene cuts back to J.K. he hovers over the word "Restricted Section"

Follow the Owl Someone else agrees and goes in way more detail than I did.
