Also -- I know it's probably nothing but this "fragment" appears twice in this vid:


Once at 2 seconds in and again and 21 seconds out (or so). Forgive the craptastic quality, but yanno it's late and I'm too tired to be buggered with anything more complex than "Prt Sc" and MSPaint. The first time it appears it's right before the seriously whited-out/contrasted object people keep saying is the bench -- but I don't believe it or really see it. I think it's something else. No clue what, but it just doesn't seem like the bench to me.

I like the idea of layering the text images. At least the first two panels seem to have the text roughly placed in the same area.

Also - that light pole light looks a bit like it might have been the light sampled to make the "eyes" that show up next to the porch swing. Those eyes seem to say (in the context of the movie) "Years wasted. I've been watching. (as the next frame the eyes appear next to the swing) You've done nothing." -- I agree this one is more straightforward, but this is still a game and I think there are still clues to be found.

And the gallows is somewhat relevant in the context of the story of the origin of the Slenderman in the woods that Alex tells J. He says something to the effect that they used to tie them in the trees and let them hang there. Most common way to hang someone from a tree? By the neck. Just sayin'. It's still a super-stretch as I'm more in the skully camp. (They don't really look like stars to me, but operator symbols through the eyes that have been traced over a few times. One COULD be a star, but the other doesn't look like a star to me. I think it's more a representation of a mask -- either one we've seen or one we will see -- much like the S/sigma shape it's perched next to. (Which also seems not like it is taken from video, but from a photo. TTA taking pictures now too? )

In fact, the whole thing really seems like a vignette of photographs, more than a "movie" of anything. Like an old silent film sorta. Punctuated by text that supposedly explains the missing dialogue. Hrm.

Can I be the first to say that however well done this vid is, it's not much more than just an anniversary video, and doesn't add more to the story than we already know?

I'm still of the opinion that the second angle of the bench that everyone's talking about is just a negative picture of something. If I wasn't too lazy, I'd stick it in Paint and reverse it, just to see what shows up.

The circles/eyes/lights seem to be far too circular to actually be eyes - I'm voting for cut and pasted headlights, myself.

Overall, I agree with everyone else - Jay needs to go back to Alex's house. Maybe we can finally have a big showdown between a frustrated TTA, Jay, and a special appearance by the Operator.

That being said, Jay, sweetie, please go in daylight. Act like you have a working brain.

Considering this TTA video is called "Memories", and the other images were from locations of Operator encounters, the frame/signpost/gallows might be from another Operator encounter. Of course, since there are months of tapes left that Jay has not yet seen, this could be a sneak peak of some event that's about to happen - maybe something where Jay and/or Alex "did nothing" while "something more than time was taken" by the Operator.

Also, does anyone find it odd that this video and enttry 37 are both called "Memories"? Is that a coincidence, or are they tied together somehow?
